To alert on changes within one section of a page, configure a page-area inclusion or exclusion filter and then add the words or phrases to watch in Focus phrases, one per line. Versionista applies area filters before checking phrases. For an email as soon as a qualifying change is detected, enable instant alerts separately in that page’s Crawl settings; they are off by default.

Add a page-area inclusion or exclusion filter to narrow the content Versionista should consider. For example, exclude a sidebar if it repeats words that matter in the main section.

Find Focus phrases and enter each word or phrase on its own line. Matching is case-insensitive, so you do not need separate capitalization variants.

Save the configuration. After the area filter is applied, Versionista records a new version when one of the listed phrases is added or deleted. Changes that do not match the focus list are ignored for version registration.

Choose between phrase focus and broader monitoring
Phrase focus is useful when you know which terms matter in advance. If future changes are unpredictable, it can miss a significant edit simply because it does not add or delete a listed phrase. Versionista’s tutorial advises that it is often easier to monitor all changes and use filters to eliminate irrelevant page areas. That approach catches unexpected edits within the retained content, but may produce more changes to review.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches- Use area filters plus Focus phrases when a known short list of terms should determine whether a new version is recorded.
- Monitor all relevant changes and filter out unrelated areas when you cannot predict the wording of future changes.
What the alert and comparison show
Focus phrases determine whether Versionista records a version; they do not limit the comparison viewer to only the triggering phrase. When a version is recorded, the viewer displays all changes in it. Use the comparison to inspect the full edit around the phrase that caused the version to be registered.
Instant email alerts are a separate setting from phrase focus. Open the monitored page’s view, expand Crawl, and enable instant alerts. They are configured per page and are off by default. In Account Settings, select whether the email body includes text changes (the default), text and HTML changes, or filtered changes. Versionista’s email-alert tutorial covers the alert setup.
Supported content and practical limits
The documented Focus phrases feature applies to HTML and plain-text pages. Versionista says it cannot selectively detect phrase changes in images, PDFs, Word documents, or other content types. If the target text may appear elsewhere on an HTML page, an area filter is important: without one, a matching phrase outside the section can trigger a version.

- Connection between camera and Wi-Fi router :Up to 30 m (100 ft.) Transmission distance in open field; Wi-Fi Frequency is 2.4 GHz; WLAN: 802.11 b/g/n
After configuring the filter, verify that the intended section is within the area Versionista considers. If the content is not included, phrase matching cannot make it a target; if the filter is too broad, matching text elsewhere may still qualify.
Versionista account availability
Versionista’s current homepage says new monitoring accounts are available through Fluxguard, while existing Versionista accounts remain supported. If you do not already have an account, check the current Versionista homepage for the signup path. Existing account holders can continue using the documented settings.

ScreenshotNeo is a website screenshot API and MCP server, not a replacement for change monitoring or Versionista’s phrase alerts. It can capture a page as an image or PDF with one GET request. Its clean-shot steps accept cookie and consent banners like a visitor and remove more than 60 known consent platforms, newsletter popups, and chat widgets; each step can be turned off. Bot checks and CAPTCHAs, blank pages, timeouts, failed loads, and cache hits are not billed, and response headers identify the page verdict and billing status. AI agents can use its MCP server tools: take_screenshot, get_page_info, and capture_pdf.
Example cURL request (replace the URL with the page you want to capture; this takes a screenshot, not a section-change alert):
curl -G "https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot" -d access_key=YOUR_API_KEY --data-urlencode url=https://stripe.com -o shot.webp
See the ScreenshotNeo API documentation for request options. The free plan includes 1,000 screenshots per month without a card; paid plans start at $5 for 3,000. Sign up for ScreenshotNeo’s free plan.
