To control Streamlabs Desktop from a compatible Logitech keyboard, open that keyboard in G HUB, go to Assignments → Actions → Streamlabs Desktop, then drag an action onto a G-key or, if available, an assigned F-key. You can use the built-in streaming and recording toggles or create controls for scenes, sources, and mixer audio.
What the G HUB integration does
Logitech G HUB lets you assign Streamlabs Desktop controls to supported Logitech keyboard keys. A single action can toggle streaming or recording, change a scene, activate or deactivate a source, or control mixer audio. A macro combines multiple actions—for example, changing scenes and starting a recording together.

You need G HUB, Streamlabs Desktop, and a Logitech keyboard whose programmable G-keys or supported F-key assignments are recognized by your installed G HUB version. The available documentation does not give a complete compatibility list for every keyboard model, so verify your exact device in G HUB before buying hardware or troubleshooting a missing control. Logitech’s G HUB support page provides software information.

Assign a Streamlabs action to a keyboard key
- Update G HUB. If automatic updates are disabled, open G HUB’s pop-out menu, choose Settings, then select Check for Updates. The Streamlabs guide recommends the latest G HUB version.
- Open the keyboard assignments. From G HUB’s main screen, select your supported Logitech keyboard, then click the plus icon on the left to open Assignments.
- Choose a Streamlabs control. Select Actions, then Streamlabs Desktop. The documented default actions include Toggle Streaming and Toggle Recording. To add a different control, select Create New Action and choose an action type.
- Configure the action if needed. For a microphone mute control, the guide’s example is Mute Mixer, followed by Mic/Aux. Select the relevant mixer item or other option required by the action you chose.
- Bind it to a key. Drag the action onto a G-key. On a supported keyboard without dedicated G-keys, enable the FN toggle if it appears, then drag the action onto the F-key you want to use.
- Open Streamlabs Desktop if prompted. G HUB may ask to launch it when it is not already running.
Set up useful controls
Toggle streaming or recording
Choose Toggle Streaming or Toggle Recording in the Streamlabs Desktop action list and drag it onto a key. Because these are toggles, pressing the assigned key changes the current state; check Streamlabs Desktop before pressing it if you need to know whether the stream or recording is already active.
Mute or adjust mixer audio
Create an action for Mute Mixer, then select Mic/Aux to target the microphone input shown in the guide. The integration also documents mixer unmute and volume controls. Confirm the selected mixer item is the one you intend to control.

Switch scenes or control sources
Create the relevant action and select the scene or source you want to control, then assign it to a key. The documented integration includes scene switching and source activation or deactivation. The exact choices depend on the scenes and sources available in your Streamlabs setup.

G HUB assignment is separate from building a Streamlabs scene
The keyboard integration assigns controls; it does not configure your microphone, game capture, or screen capture for you. Streamlabs’ getting-started guide, dated July 22, 2026, covers selecting a microphone in Audio settings and adding sources such as Game Capture or Screen Capture.
Troubleshooting
- Streamlabs Desktop is missing from Actions: check for G HUB updates using Settings → Check for Updates, then launch Streamlabs Desktop and reopen the assignments panel.
- Your keyboard has no G-keys: check whether the keyboard’s G HUB assignments include an FN toggle for F-key assignment. That option is device-dependent.
- The action or menu label differs: compare with the documented guide, but allow for interface changes after its March 5, 2025 update. Logitech’s Marketplace also lists a separate Streamlabs Desktop plugin; do not assume it is required for the G HUB keyboard assignments described here.
- A key does not control the intended input or scene: reopen the action in G HUB and verify its selected mixer item, scene, or source. For microphone and capture-source setup, check those items directly in Streamlabs Desktop.
Or let it run in the cloud
G HUB controls Streamlabs Desktop on your computer; for a different task—keeping uploaded videos live on a YouTube channel 24/7—StreamNeo runs the loop in the cloud. Upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. Your computer and home connection do not have to stay on. Videos stream as uploaded, up to 4K 60fps, at one flat price per slot; StreamNeo automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. Monthly pricing is $9.99 per month. StreamNeo streams to YouTube only and plays uploaded videos, not a live camera feed. Start the free first day.
