The exact permission step differs by platform.
Before you start
Sign in at Streamlabs.com and connect the Twitch, YouTube, or Kick account for the channel you want Cloudbot to serve. If you use multiple platforms, Streamlabs recommends linking them to one Streamlabs ID: open your account menu, select Account Settings, choose Platforms, and select Merge beside the platform to connect. Dashboard labels can change as Streamlabs updates its interface.

Enable Cloudbot and grant moderator access
- From the left-hand menu on Streamlabs.com, open Cloudbot and select Enable Cloudbot.
- Give Streamlabs moderator permissions in the channel where the bot needs to speak or moderate chat:
- Twitch: open that channel’s chat, enter
/mod Streamlabs, and submit. - Kick: open that channel’s chat, enter
/mod Streamlabs, and submit. - YouTube: in YouTube Studio, open Settings → Community and add Streamlabs as a moderator.
- Twitch: open that channel’s chat, enter
Cloudbot needs these permissions to talk in chat and remove messages. Make sure you grant them on the specific channel you intend to use.

Choose and customize chat commands
Open Commands in the Streamlabs dashboard. Under Default, switch built-in commands on or off and edit their permissions or responses. Under Custom, add a command and write its response; templates and variables are available for responses that need to include changing information.
#1 Best Overall
- 15 Customizable LCD Keys: instantly control your apps, tools and platforms.
- One-Touch Operation: trigger single or multiple actions, launch social posts, adjust audio, mute mic, turn on lights, and much more.
- Visual Feedback: know that your command has been executed.
- Powerful Plugins: Elgato 4KCU, OBS, Twitch, YouTube, Twitter, Discord, Spotify, Philips Hue, and many more.
- Hotkey Actions: streamline your film editing, music production, photography workflow, etc.
Keep commands relevant to your chat and set permissions deliberately. For example, a general information command may be available to everyone, while a command that changes a stream setting may warrant a restricted permission level. Check the command’s enabled state and spelling if it does not respond.
Configure moderation tools
Open Mod Tools to choose a Protection Level preset or enable individual controls. Options include Caps and Link Protection; adjust each control’s strictness to suit the channel. Start with settings that address the behavior you actually need to manage, then review how they affect ordinary chat so legitimate messages are not unnecessarily caught.
Rank #2

Add timers, loyalty, and rewards if you need them
Timers
After Cloudbot is enabled, open Timers and create a timer with a name, response, interval, and line minimum. Both the interval and the minimum number of chat lines must be met before it triggers. Timers run in parallel, so timers with matching intervals can post at the same time; choose intervals and line minimums that avoid clutter.
Loyalty points and store redemptions
Open Loyalty and enable the Loyalty System if you want viewers to earn points. You can customize the currency and payout settings. Streamlabs’ guide says points are awarded while the streamer is live. To offer a redemption, open Store, add an item, and choose an item type: Access Code, Sound Effect, or Stream Perk.

Modules and Media Share

Troubleshoot common Cloudbot problems
- YouTube commands do not work: Streamlabs’ troubleshooting guidance says the YouTube stream must be public for Cloudbot to join and commands to work. Check the stream’s visibility.
- A command gets no response: confirm Cloudbot is enabled, the command is enabled and typed correctly, and that it is not blocked by a cooldown or a required loyalty-point balance.
- A timer does not trigger: verify that both its interval and line minimum have been reached. Remember that timers with matching intervals may trigger together.
- Viewers are not earning loyalty points: check that the Loyalty System is enabled, the payout interval is appropriate, and the payout amount is nonzero. Points are awarded while the streamer is live.
- The bot cannot speak or moderate: verify that Streamlabs has moderator access on the particular channel, using that platform’s steps above.
Or let it run in the cloud

Nothing has to stay on at home; uploaded video streams as made, up to 4K 60fps, at one price per slot, and StreamNeo automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream.
