To accept PayPal tips through Streamlabs, connect a PayPal account in the Streamlabs Dashboard under Tipping, configure your Tip Page, then share its URL where viewers can find it. Choose PayPal Business if you want the documented credit-card tipping option; PayPal Standard is for PayPal payments.
Choose the right PayPal connection

Connect PayPal to Streamlabs
- Sign in to the Streamlabs Dashboard. Open Tipping or Tipping Settings.
- Choose a PayPal connection. Select Connect beside PayPal Business or PayPal Standard, based on the payment methods you want to offer.
- Authorize the connection. Sign in to PayPal and follow its prompts to approve Streamlabs. If you chose Business and PayPal asks you to complete business onboarding, finish that process and return to Streamlabs.
- Configure your Tip Page. In Tipping settings, find the Streamlabs Tip Page URL. Set the currency and minimum tip, and add optional preset amounts if useful. Adjust optional design or monthly tipping settings as needed, then save your changes.
- Test the link before sharing it. Open the Tip Page URL and check that it loads and shows the intended currency and settings. Do not assume a viewer’s payment methods will match yours; availability depends on their region and checkout.
Make the tip link easy to find
Copy the Streamlabs Tip Page URL and place it in locations viewers already use. Streamlabs suggests a donation image panel for Twitch and Kick, and channel information or stream descriptions for YouTube. On other supported social platforms, use an available profile or bio link. Platform layouts and labels can change, so use the current channel-page or profile area rather than relying on a particular button name.

- Put the link in the channel information or description so it remains available outside a live session.
- Include it in the live-stream description where viewers can reach it during the broadcast.
- If your platform supports panels or bio links, use a clear label such as “Tip” or “Support the stream.”
Privacy, payment handling, and fees
Know what viewers may see
Streamlabs recommends PayPal Business for creators who want to avoid showing a personal name and personal information to viewers. That is not a guarantee of privacy: banks or card providers may show merchant details on statements. Streamlabs recommends using a PO box or business address rather than a personal address to reduce the chance that a personal address appears on a viewer’s bank statement. Review what your PayPal account displays before accepting tips.

Tips go through PayPal
Streamlabs says tips are processed directly through PayPal from the donor to the creator; Streamlabs does not hold the funds. If a viewer says a tip is missing, check your PayPal activity first. PayPal may sometimes require you to accept a payment manually.
Check fees and checkout requirements
Streamlabs says creators pay payment-processing fees and Streamlabs does not take a cut of a tip. The fee is not a single universal percentage in its guidance; it depends on PayPal account terms and location. Streamlabs’ guide describes a login requirement for tippers, while also noting a guest sign-in option for viewers without PayPal that requires an email address and phone number. The checkout experience may differ by region.

Review fraud settings and country availability
For PayPal Business, Streamlabs recommends enabling CVV or CVS Mismatch and all address verification service (AVS) items in PayPal fraud tools. These settings are risk controls, not a guarantee against fraud or chargebacks.

PayPal receiving availability differs by country. If a payment fails, check whether both the sender’s and recipient’s countries and accounts are eligible to send or receive the payment.
Troubleshoot common setup problems
