To get alerts from Browse AI, create and approve a robot that captures the data you care about, add a monitor from the robot’s Monitor tab, choose a schedule and monitoring type, then enable email notifications or connect a webhook. The monitor only detects changes in data the robot captures, and it checks on the schedule you set—not continuously.
Before you add a monitor, make sure the robot captures the right data
A Browse AI monitor watches what its robot has been trained to capture. If the robot misses a price, status, or section of page copy, the monitor cannot reliably alert you when that uncaptured information changes.

Choose the robot-building approach that fits the page
- Table Studio: use this when the information you want is already visible on the page.
- Robot Studio: use this when the page requires actions such as clicking, typing, filling out a form, or signing in.
When creating a robot, start with the page’s Origin URL and review the extracted preview before saving. Check that the preview includes the exact fields or page content you want to monitor.

Review and save the robot before setting up monitoring. In Table Studio, save after reviewing the preview; in Robot Studio, confirm the setup in the Quick Setup tab. Browse AI’s approval guide says monitoring is available after the robot is approved, and its first-robot instructions say a robot does not run on a schedule until it has been saved.

Create a monitor and set its schedule
For an existing robot, open its dashboard and select Monitor. Choose Add monitor or Create new monitor, configure the options, and save to activate it. Browse AI also allows monitoring to be selected while creating a robot.
- Open the approved robot’s dashboard and select Monitor.
- Select Add monitor or Create new monitor.
- Choose the schedule, days, time, Origin URL, and any relevant input values.
- Choose text monitoring or screenshot monitoring, depending on the kind of change you need to catch.
- Enable the notification method you want, then save the monitor.
The documented schedule choices include hourly, daily, weekly, and minute frequencies, along with day-of-week options and a time or Any time choice. Which options appear may depend on the account or interface. Choose a cadence that fits how often the information changes and how quickly you need to know: a scheduled check is not an instant alert.
For text monitoring, custom input parameters can represent different search terms, filters, or form inputs for a run. Use these when the same robot should check multiple values rather than building a separate robot for each one.

Choose text or screenshot monitoring

For screenshot monitoring, the documented sensitivity settings are small (1%), medium (5%), and large (10%). A higher threshold is less sensitive to minor visual changes. These are setting values, not independent measurements of detection accuracy. Not every account or monitor necessarily exposes every documented option.
Turn on email notifications
Browse AI’s notification guide gives this route for a new or existing monitor:
- Select the robot in the dashboard and click Monitor.
- Add a monitor or edit the existing one.
- Check Notify me by email if there is a change in a captured text.
- Click Save.
When a change is detected, Browse AI says the notification email shows what changed.

Send change events to another tool with a webhook
If you want an automation or another connected service to receive changes instead of relying only on email, use a webhook. Browse AI documents the event taskCapturedDataChanged for changes found during monitoring.
- Open the approved robot and go to Integrate.
- Find Webhooks and add the destination URL supplied by the service that will receive the event.
- Select
taskCapturedDataChangedand save.
Browse AI’s webhook guide gives Slack, Zapier, and Make as examples of destinations. Treat the destination URL as private: do not publish it where others could use it.
Understand what happens after Browse AI finds a change
Browse AI says changed content can be highlighted in results: green for new content, yellow for modified content, and red for removed content. When notifications are enabled, it sends them; configured integrations can also be triggered. Results are retained in your Browse AI account for historical tracking.

Troubleshoot missing alerts or missed changes
No email arrived
- Check the spam folder.
- Verify the email address in your account settings.
- Open the monitor settings and confirm email notification is enabled, then save.
The monitor did not detect an obvious change
- Review the robot’s captured fields and confirm they include the content that changed.
- Check whether the site’s structure changed in a way that affects what the robot captures.
- Consider adjusting the monitoring frequency if you need checks to happen more often.
