How do I set up Fraimic?
Fraimic’s official manual describes this first-connection sequence. The canvas needs a standard 2.4 GHz home Wi-Fi network; the manual describes the device as following standard IoT protocol over 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi.

- Charge the canvas. Connect the included USB-C cable. The manual says a blinking green LED indicates charging and a solid green LED indicates a full charge.
- Wake it. Tap the mat.
- Join the temporary network. From your phone or computer, connect to the Wi-Fi network named in the form
Fraimic_XXXXX. - Connect it to home Wi-Fi. The authentication portal should load. Select your 2.4 GHz home network and enter its password.
- Scan the QR code. When it appears on the canvas, scan it to open the setup page; the manual points to fraimic.local.
- Create and verify your account. Register with Fraimic and verify the email address. If the message is delayed, the manual suggests checking spam and confirming that you entered the right address.
- Add your first image. Upload existing artwork or a photo, or explore the creation options in the dashboard.
The manual identifies a blinking red LED as an error or failure indicator, including an inability to connect to the internet. It does not give a full router troubleshooting procedure, so avoid changing router settings based on assumptions; consult Fraimic support if the documented setup steps fail.

Open app.fraimic.com in a browser and sign in. Fraimic says no app download is needed. Its manual lists image uploads, album management for scheduled updates, account settings, battery status, Fraimic Styles, and access to previously uploaded or generated images.

Upload an image from a phone or computer
Choose the upload control in the dashboard and select an image stored on your device. Fraimic says its workflow can automatically calibrate, crop, and orient images, including switching between portrait and landscape. These are the company’s descriptions of the service rather than independently tested results.
Organize images and schedule changes
Create or manage albums to group images. Fraimic describes scheduled image updates and slideshows, letting you rotate artwork without manually selecting every change. The available scheduling controls are managed through the web workflow; check the current dashboard for the options available to your account.
Return to older content or use the gallery
Fraimic’s FAQ says the web workflow can show past uploads, a curated gallery, and support for multiple users. The dashboard also lists Fraimic Styles. These features make it possible to use a personal photo one day and revisit other saved or gallery content later.

Transfer images locally
Fraimic describes a local image-sharing mode that transfers content over the home Wi-Fi network without internet access or third-party servers. This is distinct from the standard cloud workflow and may suit people who want a direct local transfer path. Availability and details should be checked in Fraimic’s current product information.
Use Voice-to-Vision if you want generated art
Voice-to-Vision is optional: Fraimic describes recording a spoken prompt, converting it to text, and using third-party AI services to generate an image. Its image-creation page identifies OpenAI services for image creation. If you prefer to display your own photos or artwork, you can use the upload workflow instead.
Does Fraimic need Wi-Fi to work?
Wi-Fi is part of initial setup and the browser-based account workflow. For content transfer, Fraimic also describes a local-sharing mode that works over the home network without internet or third-party servers. The company does not describe every offline behavior in the cited product information, so do not assume that all dashboard, account, or creation features work without an internet connection.

What are the display dimensions and specifications?
Fraimic identifies the display technology as E Ink Spectra 6. Its product pages list these specifications:

How long does the battery last, and how do you charge it?
Fraimic’s FAQ says E Ink uses power when an image changes and consumes no display power while showing a static image. The company estimates that its 14 × 18-inch model can last up to about three years at roughly one image change per day. That is a manufacturer estimate, not an independent test or guarantee; Fraimic says actual battery life depends on refresh frequency.

The canvas charges over USB-C, and the manual lists a USB-C cable in the box. Fraimic recommends a standard USB-C charger and says the canvas can still be used or refreshed while charging.
Is the Fraimic site free to use?
Fraimic says basic site functions—including image uploading, Voice-to-Vision, and frame management—are free. Its FAQ lists 100 free image-generation credits per customer per year, with additional credits available through account settings or an annual membership. Credit allowances and paid options can change; check the current FAQ or your account for the terms that apply.
How does Fraimic handle images and privacy?
Fraimic says images uploaded through its standard cloud service are stored on AWS with encryption and are not used to train models. The company separately describes local-only sharing as a direct connection to the frame over home Wi-Fi without third-party servers. These are manufacturer statements, not independent security findings. If an image is sensitive, review Fraimic’s current privacy terms and confirm which transfer mode you are using before uploading it.

Can Fraimic connect to smart-home systems?
Fraimic’s FAQ says an official Home Assistant integration is available and that developer API access supports custom integrations. Its product pages also list a REST API and over-the-air firmware updates. The cited information does not specify supported Home Assistant versions or particular automation recipes, so check the current documentation before planning an integration.
What frames will Fraimic fit in?
Fraimic says the canvas can be removed from its included frame and placed in many other frames, but it does not publish a complete, validated list of third-party frame models. Check the canvas and frame dimensions, mounting method, and clearances before buying a replacement frame.
Warranty, help, and availability
Fraimic says it provides a one-year warranty for manufacturing defects and offers over-the-air updates. Its FAQ lists Discord and support email as help channels and gives a typical response time of within one business day. Warranty coverage, exclusions, and response times are subject to current terms and should not be treated as guaranteed service levels.
