You can monitor Bitcoin and BNB Smart Chain addresses for transaction activity, but the documented tools covered here do not provide a built-in, user-defined “large transfer” threshold. For Bitcoin, mempool.space documents live address updates over WebSocket; for BNB Smart Chain, BscScan offers email notifications for watched addresses. To alert only when a transfer exceeds a chosen amount, use a service that explicitly supports value thresholds or add a filter that evaluates transaction events and sends the alert.
Start by choosing the chain, address, and meaning of “large”
First identify the exact network and address you want to monitor. “BNB” may refer to activity on different chains: the BscScan Watch List documentation is specifically for BNB Smart Chain, not BNB Beacon Chain. The Beacon Chain has a separate explorer at BNB Beacon Chain Explorer; do not assume a BscScan Smart Chain alert covers it.

Then decide what should count as large. A rule might use an amount in BTC or BNB, a token quantity, or a fiat-equivalent value. Specify whether it applies to incoming transfers, outgoing transfers, or both. These choices matter because an address-activity alert is not necessarily an amount-threshold alert.
Set up Bitcoin address monitoring
Use mempool.space for transaction updates
mempool.space documents a WebSocket interface that can track one or more Bitcoin addresses and publish updates about transactions involving them. Its documentation distinguishes new mempool transactions from transactions in confirmed blocks. The cited reference is on the Signet documentation path. Confirm the appropriate production endpoint and current usage limits before building against it; the documentation notes usage limits and higher tracking limits for enterprise sponsorship.
Choose when the alert should fire
- At mempool entry: notify when a transaction is first observed as pending. It may not yet be confirmed.
- At confirmation: notify after the transaction appears in a confirmed block.
- At both stages: send an initial pending notice and a later confirmation update, while deduplicating the same transaction so it is not mistaken for two separate transfers.
Address tracking is for discovering transactions involving an address. Tracking by transaction ID is useful for following a transaction you already know about, but it is not a substitute for monitoring an address for future activity.

Add a value threshold and delivery method
The cited WebSocket documentation describes address and transaction updates, not a built-in value threshold or an end-user email or push workflow. A custom monitor would need to inspect each relevant event, apply the chosen amount rule, and send a notification through a delivery channel you configure. Before relying on it, account for reconnecting after connection interruptions, deduplicating events, and keeping pending and confirmed states distinct.

Set up BNB Smart Chain address email alerts
Add an address to BscScan’s Watch List
- Sign in to a BscScan account.
- Open the Watch List and choose Add.
- Enter the BNB Smart Chain address you are authorized to monitor.
- Set notification preferences and the relevant transfer types, then save the entry.
BscScan says its Watch List emails users about incoming or outgoing transactions involving listed addresses. Its help page gives a limit of 50 watched addresses per user account and was last updated September 12, 2023; check the current interface and limit when configuring an account. Do not mistake activity notices for threshold alerts
The Watch List documentation describes address-activity emails and transfer-type preferences, but does not establish a configurable amount threshold. If you need an email only when a transfer exceeds a particular number of BNB or a fiat value, verify that a service explicitly offers that rule rather than assuming an address watchlist filters by size.
Build a custom threshold from transfer events
BscScan documents API access to BEP-20 transfer events by address. A custom application can evaluate those event values against a threshold and send its own notification. The API overview states programmatic updates every second and up to 30 calls per second; these are published documentation details, not an independent performance measurement, and the limits can change. Check the current terms and limits in BscScan’s API overview before implementation.

Coverage also depends on how assets move. BscScan distinguishes normal transfers from internal transfers involving a smart contract. If your rule must include contract-mediated activity, account for those transaction categories rather than monitoring only direct transfers. See BscScan’s transaction explainer.

Compare alert options against the coverage you need
Before choosing a ready-made service or building a monitor, check each of these points. The cited tools do not necessarily provide every capability in this list.
- Coverage: Does it monitor the addresses you select, native coin transfers, token transfers, and contract or internal activity?
- Threshold support: Can you set a minimum amount? Does the rule use coin units, token units, or fiat value?
- Timing: Does it notify on pending mempool activity, confirmed transactions, or both?
- Delivery: Does it send email, push notifications, messages, or a webhook? Verify the actual options.
- Scale and operations: Check address caps, API or WebSocket limits, availability, and reconnection behavior.
- Privacy and trust: Consider whether you are submitting addresses to a third-party service or monitoring them through infrastructure you control.
Use Bitcoin’s legacy alert history only as context
