The menus below use the English labels documented by YouTube; their exact Hindi translations may vary by Studio or app version. A Premiere is a shared viewing event for an uploaded video, not a live camera broadcast.
Before you start
- Prepare the finished video and its title, description, thumbnail, and other upload details.
- Do not use a Short: YouTube says Shorts are not supported for Premieres.
- Keep the video at 1080p or lower. YouTube lists video above 1080p and 360/VR180 video as unsupported for Premieres. YouTube’s Premiere help page has the platform’s current instructions.
Set up a Premiere in YouTube Studio
- Sign in to YouTube Studio and select Create > Upload videos.
- Choose the video, then fill in its details.
- Choose whether it should start as soon as processing permits or at a future time:
Start as soon as the video is ready
- Select Save or publish > Public.
- Choose Set as instant Premiere.
- Optionally select Set up Premiere to pick a countdown theme and length.
- Select Done. YouTube says the event begins after processing is complete, so this option does not guarantee an immediate start while the upload is still processing.
Schedule it for later
- Select Schedule and enter the date and time.
- Check Set as Premiere.
- Optionally select Set up Premiere to choose the countdown theme and length.
- Select Schedule.
The Studio steps and labels above are YouTube’s documented English interface. YouTube also says a Premiere can be selected in the YouTube app on the Set visibility page by choosing Set as Premiere; the exact localized Hindi wording is not established here. See YouTube’s setup instructions.

Choose instant or scheduled

What happens on the Premiere page
Scheduling creates a public watch page with a shareable URL before the event. Viewers can visit, set a reminder, comment, and chat. When the Premiere starts, viewers watch the video together: they can rewind, but cannot skip ahead beyond the point currently playing. Afterward, the video remains on the channel as a regular upload, and chat replay is available. YouTube says reminder notifications arrive about 30 minutes before the event and again when it starts. Promote the event and prepare chat
YouTube recommends scheduling at least 24 hours ahead so viewers around the world have time to see the thumbnail in their subscriptions feed. This is guidance, not a requirement. Share the watch-page URL in social posts, community posts, or pinned comments, and ask viewers to set a reminder. YouTube’s Premiere tips also recommend planning chat participation.

- Prepare a few conversation prompts for the event.
- If chat is enabled, consider moderators, keyword blocklists, or slow mode.
- YouTube mentions third-party chat bots such as Nightbot as an option; a bot is not required to create a Premiere.
Countdowns, trailers, and monetization
Countdown and trailer
You can customize the countdown theme and length. A trailer on the watch page is available only to channels with more than 1,000 subscribers and no Community Guidelines strikes, according to YouTube’s Premiere customization guidance.
Ads and viewer support features
For eligible channels, YouTube says pre-roll ads can run during a Premiere; mid-roll and post-roll ads are not available during the event. After the Premiere ends, the channel’s upload default ad settings apply. Eligible creators can enable Super Chat and Super Stickers before or during the event. Eligible channel memberships may also offer perks such as members-only chat. These features depend on channel eligibility and are not available to every creator. Check YouTube’s feature details.

Troubleshoot common setup problems
The Premiere option is missing
Check that the upload is not a Short and is not 360/VR180 or above 1080p. Those formats are listed as unsupported for Premieres by YouTube. If you are using the app, look for Set as Premiere on the Set visibility page; menu wording may differ in Hindi.
The instant Premiere has not started
YouTube starts an instant Premiere after processing is complete. Allow the upload to finish processing before expecting the event to begin.

Viewers cannot find the event
For a scheduled Premiere, open its public watch page and share that URL. Encourage viewers to set a reminder there; scheduling at least 24 hours ahead is YouTube’s recommendation, not a mandatory waiting period.
A trailer or monetization option is unavailable
These features have eligibility conditions. Trailer eligibility requires more than 1,000 subscribers and no Community Guidelines strikes; ads, Super Chat, Super Stickers, and membership perks are limited to eligible channels.
