For the G29 and G920, the wheel then rotates to both sides and returns to center to calibrate. The exact software and settings depend on your wheel model and platform, so use these steps as a G29/G920 starting point and check Logitech’s support page for your specific wheel.
Connect the wheel, pedals, and power
Logitech’s setup guidance for the G29 and G920 gives this connection order:
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
- Connect the wheel’s power supply.
- Plug the pedal unit into the wheel’s pedal connection.
- Connect the wheel’s USB cable to your PC or console.
After connection, the G29/G920 rotates fully to each side and then returns to center to calibrate, according to Logitech’s G29/G920 pedal troubleshooting guidance. Keep hands and objects clear of the wheel while it moves. If your model does not follow this behavior, consult that model’s setup instructions rather than assuming it is faulty.

Install compatible Logitech software
For G29/G920 force feedback on PC, Logitech directs users to install its Logitech Gaming Software and check that steering functions, including force feedback, are mapped in the game and applicable Logitech software. The cited pedal troubleshooting guidance specifies Logitech Gaming Software 8.70 or later for that troubleshooting case. Software compatibility differs among Logitech wheel models, so check the downloads and support page for your exact model before installing anything. Logitech’s G29/G920 settings guidance covers the relevant settings.

Check steering range and controls
For the G29/G920, Logitech lists a wheel operating range adjustable from 40 to 900 degrees in 10-degree increments; 900 degrees is the default. This is a model-specific setting, not a universal recommendation for every Logitech wheel. In your game’s controls menu, confirm that steering, each pedal, and force feedback are assigned and recognized. Game menus and available options vary.
Set up on a console
Connect the wheel’s power, pedals, and USB as described above, then follow any on-screen prompts or the game’s wheel-control setup. The cited guidance establishes the G29/G920 connection and calibration sequence, but does not establish a universal console compatibility list or menu path. Check Logitech’s support page for your wheel and the game’s supported peripherals before troubleshooting a console that does not recognize it.

Troubleshoot a wheel or pedals that do not respond
- Check connections. Confirm the power supply is connected, the pedals are plugged into the wheel, and the wheel’s USB cable is seated in the PC or console.
- Check control assignments. In the game, verify steering and individual pedal inputs are mapped. On PC, confirm force feedback is also assigned if you want it.
- Check PC detection. For G923, G29, and G920 connection issues, Logitech’s guidance includes using G HUB to validate the connection and inputs, then checking whether the wheel appears and works in Windows Controller. Follow the model-specific steps in Logitech’s connection troubleshooting guide.
- Use advanced fixes cautiously. Logitech labels its Windows Registry approach as advanced. Do not begin by editing the Registry; follow Logitech’s official support instructions or contact support if the preceding checks do not resolve the problem.
