You can run a Hindi playlist livestream by hosting an encoder and playlist on a cloud VM, then sending the encoder’s feed to a YouTube Live stream. The essential steps are to confirm channel eligibility, choose and configure an Indian VM, connect using YouTube’s server URL and stream key, check bandwidth and preview the feed, and verify that you have rights to broadcast every track. An Indian server is an available hosting choice, not a YouTube requirement or a guarantee of uninterrupted streaming.
Before you start
Have a verified YouTube channel, a cloud account with access to an Indian location, a playlist and an encoder that can send video to YouTube Live. You will also need rights to broadcast the music in the playlist. The steps below explain the encoder-to-YouTube workflow; they do not establish a tested, unattended 24/7 playlist setup.

Check YouTube Live eligibility
YouTube says a channel must be verified and must not have had a live-streaming restriction during the previous 90 days. Its general guidance also sets a minimum age of 16 for livestreaming. Check the current requirements in YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility guidance and getting-started guidance before scheduling.

Prepare the playlist and permissions
Organize the Hindi tracks you plan to play and establish that you have the necessary rights for the intended broadcast, territories and use. A track’s language, a music purchase or a personal streaming subscription does not by itself establish permission to rebroadcast it. YouTube’s Livestream terms and conditions require the uploader to have the necessary rights for live content, including applicable music licensing rights from artists, record labels, publishers and other rights participants. Which permissions apply depends on the specific tracks and use; the terms do not determine the licences needed for an individual playlist in India.

Choose an Indian cloud location
India-hosted options documented by the providers include AWS regions in Mumbai and Hyderabad, AWS Local Zones in Delhi and Kolkata, and Google Cloud Compute Engine zones in Mumbai (asia-south1) and Delhi (asia-south2). Amazon Lightsail’s supported-region list includes Mumbai. See the providers’ current documentation: AWS Regions and Availability Zones, Lightsail regions and Google Cloud regions and zones.
These are documented locations, not a tested ranking. The available information does not establish which provider or city is best for a Hindi playlist stream, nor does it compare current VM prices, outbound data charges, machine availability or performance under sustained streaming load. Before choosing, confirm that the specific service offers an appropriate VM in your preferred location and check its current compute, network-egress and operational terms. A location near you may make administration more convenient or help latency, but it does not guarantee a better route to YouTube or continuous availability. YouTube does not require the server to be in India.

Set up the cloud VM and encoder connection
- Create or select a VM. Choose an instance and operating environment compatible with your encoder and playlist workflow. Verify its capacity and network terms with the cloud provider; no particular VM size or 24/7 configuration is established here.
- Create or select the YouTube Live stream. In YouTube Live Control Room, create the event or select the stream you intend to use. Open its connection settings and copy the server URL and stream key.
- Configure the encoder. Enter YouTube’s server URL and stream key in the encoder’s streaming destination settings. YouTube’s encoder guide describes this connection model and lists encoder examples. Use RTMPS if the encoder supports it; YouTube recommends encrypted ingestion in its live encoder settings.
- Protect the stream key. Treat it like a password. Do not expose it in screenshots, public configuration files or logs, and restrict access to the VM and encoder settings. If it is exposed, replace or reset it through YouTube’s stream settings before relying on the stream again.
- Load the playlist into the encoder workflow. The official setup guidance establishes how an encoder connects to YouTube, but does not specify or validate an unattended Hindi-playlist automation recipe. Configure your chosen player or automation software for the intended playlist, then test that it advances through tracks and that the encoder continues sending a feed. Do not assume that choosing OBS or a cloud VM alone makes playlist playback or recovery automatic.
Set video, audio and network settings
Use compatible encoder settings
Follow YouTube’s current encoder settings guidance and the options shown for your stream in Live Control Room. YouTube recommends constant bitrate (CBR), a two-second keyframe interval and no more than four seconds between keyframes; it recommends RTMPS where supported. Match the selected resolution, frame rate, video and audio formats to what your encoder can actually provide and YouTube accepts. Do not copy an unrelated HDR configuration as a default.

The VM’s available outbound bandwidth must accommodate the stream’s total bitrate. YouTube recommends leaving 20% headroom and advises checking available upload capacity, using a reliable network and accounting for both primary and backup feeds if both are active. See YouTube’s network and streaming guidance. Check the cloud service’s current network limits and egress charges as well: neither sustained throughput nor data-transfer pricing is established by the region listings.

Preview, start and monitor the stream
- Test before the scheduled start. YouTube advises setting up the encoder at least two hours ahead and starting it at least 15 minutes before the scheduled event.
- Check Live Control Room. Confirm that YouTube receives the feed and inspect the preview before starting or sharing the event. Check that the event is reachable as intended.
- Listen and watch. Verify that the audio is present and intelligible, the video is playing, and the playlist is advancing correctly. Keep monitoring stream quality; a connected encoder does not prove that the playlist or audio is working.
- Plan for interruption. For a long-running stream, decide how someone will notice a stopped encoder, VM or network connection and how the process will be restarted. The guidance cited here does not validate a particular alerting, restart or failover design, so test your own recovery procedure rather than assuming the VM will keep a stream running after failure.
