How to Set Up a 24/7 Meditation Stream With Chapters and Track Labels

A practical guide to continuous prerecorded meditation streams on YouTube, from encoder or cloud setup to accurate track logs, replay chapters, rights checks and archive planning.
Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

To run a meditation stream around the clock, send a continuous prerecorded program to YouTube through a local encoder such as OBS or a hosted streaming service. Keep a separate log of each track’s start time and label. Add chapter timestamps to a replay’s video description—not as a substitute for a live track-label feature—and plan for YouTube’s archive limit: a stream longer than 12 hours may not be captured.

1. Prepare the meditation program and confirm rights

Before scheduling a continuous broadcast, inventory everything viewers will hear or see: meditation recordings, music, ambient sounds, spoken passages, visual loops, artwork and transitions. Confirm that the rights or licenses cover YouTube livestreaming, repeated and continuous use, relevant territories, monetization if applicable, and archived playback. Keep permission records and make a track-by-track running order.

YouTube requires the necessary rights for live content, including music licensing rights. Its livestream terms describe rights for exploitation of live content on Google services worldwide. The copyright rules also matter during the broadcast: YouTube says live streams are scanned for matches to third-party content. Even licensed material can interrupt a stream if the rights holder has not allowlisted your channel. A license does not guarantee that Content ID will recognize your authorization automatically.

These checks are practical safeguards, not a determination that any particular recording is cleared. If a rights holder or distributor controls the music, ask whether your channel needs to be allowlisted for livestream use.

2. Choose how to keep the live feed running

A YouTube playlist of published videos is not itself a continuous live broadcast. To create a live event from prerecorded material, use an encoder that sends a continuous feed or a hosted service that plays stored media to YouTube.

Approach Best fit What to account for
StreamNeo You want uploaded meditation videos to loop from the cloud without keeping a computer running. One always-on YouTube stream per slot, playlists and 24/7 looping, automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream, and any uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot. The first day is free with no card.
Local encoder such as OBS You want direct control and already have a suitable computer and network connection. Your computer, encoder, media source and connection must remain available. YouTube’s HLS guide lists OBS as an encoder that supports HLS output, but use an ingest method supported by your encoder and YouTube setup.
Another hosted continuous-stream service You prefer a provider to run playback remotely and its terms suit your schedule. Check YouTube support, plan requirements, maximum duration, media handling and current pricing. OneStream Live’s help page, last updated September 3, 2026, describes a YouTube-only 24/7 workflow limited to its Enterprise plan and a maximum duration of 30 days.
Shorter live blocks plus a separate replay You prioritize a dependable, navigable on-demand version. This adds scheduling and editing work, but fits YouTube’s under-12-hour archive guidance better than an uninterrupted all-day event.

Do not treat any approach as a guarantee of uninterrupted operation. For a local setup, you own the responsibility for keeping the encoder and feed running. For a hosted setup, confirm the provider’s current limits before committing; plan terms can change.

Great computer recording mic for gamers/streamers/youtubers focus on the main source and reduces background noise. The streaming microphone does the job well for broadcast ,OBS and teamspeak.

3. Set up and test the continuous feed

For a local encoder

  1. Prepare a continuous media source. Assemble the meditation videos or audio-visual program in the playback workflow you intend to use, with track boundaries and transitions in the right order. Confirm that playback can continue through the full schedule rather than stopping after one file.
  2. Create the YouTube live event and select its ingest method. Use the stream key and ingest settings provided for that event. Keep the key private; anyone with access to it may be able to send video to your stream. The YouTube HLS guide describes HLS as an option requiring an HLS-capable encoder and an HLS stream key. HLS sends segments and has higher latency than RTMP, so it is not automatically the best choice for every meditation stream.
  3. Connect the encoder and verify the outgoing feed. Follow the encoder’s supported YouTube workflow, then check that YouTube receives the expected video and audio before making the event public. The cited platform guidance does not establish one universal encoder configuration for every program.
  4. Run a controlled test. Use an unlisted or otherwise controlled broadcast to check audio level, track transitions, visual continuity, stream status, the description and the track-label workflow. Confirm that the program does not stop when a file ends or the computer’s display turns off.

For a hosted service

  1. Check its current terms first. Confirm that the service supports continuous prerecorded playback to YouTube, the intended duration, your plan, and the way it stores and loops your files.
  2. Upload the program and arrange playback. Set the sequence or playlist, and verify that the hosted workflow can play it continuously as intended.
  3. Connect YouTube using the event’s stream key. Enter the key only in the service’s intended stream settings, and verify the destination before going live.
  4. Test the viewer-facing result. Confirm audio, transitions, track labels, event description and stream status in a controlled broadcast.

4. Keep track labels and timestamps accurate

Maintain a simple running log with elapsed time from the start of the program and the exact title viewers should see. For example:

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.
00:00 Opening breath practice
12:30 Singing bowls — session 1
28:00 Silent meditation
45:00 Rain ambience

These are illustrative labels, not a list of sourced recordings. Use the program’s actual start times, especially if you edit transitions or change the order. During a live event, put the current or complete tracklist in the description or another clearly identified viewer-facing location, and update it only if your workflow permits.

  • Blue VO!CE software: Elevate your streamings and recordings with clear broadcast vocal sound and entertain your audience with enhanced effects, advanced modulation and HD audio samples

  • Positionable design: Pivot the mic in relation to the sound source to optimize your sound quality thanks to the adjustable desktop stand and track your voice in real time with no-latency monitoring

YouTube’s documented chapter workflow is for videos and uses timestamp/title entries in a video description. The reviewed platform guidance does not establish a dedicated automated track-label feature for a live broadcast. Treat your tracklist as editorial metadata and use the log to build replay chapters later.

5. Add chapters to a replay

  1. In YouTube Studio, open the replay video and edit its description.
  2. Add timestamp-and-title entries for the sections you want viewers to navigate.
  3. Start with 00:00, list at least three timestamps in ascending order, and ensure each chapter is at least 10 seconds long.
  4. Save the description and check the replay to confirm that the chapter labels match the actual content and timing.

Manual chapters override automatic chapters. Access to advanced features can affect chapter availability, and not every video qualifies for automatic chapters. Use the current YouTube video chapter instructions for eligibility and formatting details.

6. Plan separately for the livestream and its replay

A continuous 24/7 event is not a dependable way to produce a complete, chaptered archive. YouTube says a stream under 12 hours can be automatically archived, recommends making a local recording as a backup, and warns that a stream longer than 12 hours may not be captured at all. A complete archive of an uninterrupted 24/7 event is therefore not assured.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.
  • If a replay matters, record locally. Keep a local archive where your setup allows it, and verify that it contains the intended audio and video.
  • Consider shorter live blocks. Separate events under 12 hours align more closely with YouTube’s stated automatic-archive guidance, though automatic archiving is not a substitute for a backup.
  • Make a separate on-demand version. Use the track log to create a replay with accurate chapters, rather than relying on a very long live-event archive to serve as the final navigable program.

See YouTube’s live-stream archiving guidance before choosing an archive workflow.

Troubleshoot common setup problems

  • The live event stops when a track ends: Check whether the playback sequence is configured to continue or loop, and test the transition between files before launch.
  • YouTube does not receive the encoder feed: Verify that the correct event stream key and ingest method are selected in both YouTube and the encoder. For HLS, use an HLS-capable encoder and the HLS stream key.
  • A stream is interrupted after copyrighted music plays: Review the rights for the exact recording and use. If it is licensed, ask the relevant rights holder or distributor whether the channel must be allowlisted; a license alone may not prevent a live Content ID interruption.
  • Chapter timestamps do not appear or point to the wrong section: Recheck that the first entry is 00:00, there are at least three ascending timestamps, each chapter is at least 10 seconds long, and labels match the replay’s elapsed times. Confirm feature eligibility in YouTube’s chapter guidance.
  • The full-day stream has no complete replay: YouTube warns that streams over 12 hours may not be captured. Use a local recording and consider shorter events or a separate on-demand upload.
  • Track labels become inaccurate after an edit: Recalculate start times from the final program and update the viewer-facing list and replay chapters to match.
