You can send a devotional broadcast from IRL Pro to YouTube by enabling livestreaming, creating or selecting a YouTube stream, and entering its connection details in the app. That sets up a broadcast; it does not guarantee a phone can run unattended without interruption for 24/7. Plan for power, network changes, recovery, copyright checks and YouTube’s archive limit before treating it as continuous.
What you need before starting
- An Android phone that can run IRL Pro. The setup guide does not establish that any particular phone model is suitable for unattended, continuous operation.
- A YouTube channel with livestreaming enabled. YouTube says first-time enablement may take up to 24 hours. YouTube’s encoder setup instructions explain the channel and stream workflow.
- A stream key and connection URL, plus an internet connection that can sustain the broadcast.
- Permission to use every music track, image and video in the broadcast, including for any replay you intend to keep.
Keep the stream key private: it authorizes an encoder to send content to your YouTube stream.

Set up YouTube and IRL Pro
1. Enable livestreaming and create a stream
- In YouTube Studio, choose Create → Go Live. If livestreaming has not been enabled for the channel before, complete YouTube’s enablement process and allow up to 24 hours for it to become available.
- Open the Stream tab in Live Control Room. Create a stream or select an existing one.
- Copy the stream URL and stream key shown in Live Control Room. Do not share the key publicly or place it in a public description.
2. Enter the connection details in IRL Pro
- IRL Pro is an Android app. In the service dashboard that supplies your connection details, choose either RTMP or SRT and copy the connection URL.
- In IRL Pro’s broadcast settings, select the same protocol and paste the complete URL into the URL/server field. The protocol must match on both sides.
- For the documented RTMP workflow, the URL already ends with the stream key, so a separate key field is not required. For SRT, the key is included in the URL’s
streamid. Treat either full URL as a secret. - Set resolution, frame rate and bitrate within the limits of the service plan that issued the URL. These limits are plan-specific, not universal YouTube requirements. The Enhanced IRL guide recommends SRT rather than RTMP for a single mobile connection in weak or changing coverage. IRL Pro does not bond multiple connections.
- Start broadcasting. Confirm that the service dashboard changes from No signal to Streaming, then check the reported live bitrate.
3. Confirm the stream in YouTube
- Start sending content from IRL Pro. YouTube creates the watch page after the encoder begins sending content.
- Check the preview in Live Control Room and verify that both picture and audio are correct. For a scheduled stream, wait for the preview and select Go live when YouTube presents that option.
- When practical, test as an unlisted stream before making the devotional broadcast public. Confirm the viewer-facing watch page as well as the encoder dashboard.

What it takes to keep the broadcast running
The app workflow explains how to connect and start a broadcast, not how to keep a phone transmitting for days without intervention. A 24/7 schedule is an operational goal, not a reliability guarantee supplied by the app or YouTube setup steps.

- Provide continuous power and test how the phone behaves under sustained use; the cited setup guidance does not certify a phone or power arrangement for nonstop operation.
- Use a stable network and monitor it. IRL Pro uses one connection rather than bonding multiple connections, so a mobile connection that changes or drops can interrupt the feed.
- Decide who or what will notice a lost signal and restart the broadcast. Test the restart and recovery procedure before relying on it overnight.
- Check YouTube Live Control Room and the public watch page after starting, rather than assuming that a successful app connection means viewers are receiving the intended audio and video.
Choose between a continuous watch page and reliable archives
YouTube says streams longer than 12 hours may not be captured at all. It recommends keeping a local archive backup. If preserving replays is important, consider planned sessions shorter than 12 hours and keep a local recording. That means managing session transitions instead of leaving one stream open indefinitely; test how transitions appear to viewers before depending on them. See YouTube’s live-stream archiving guidance.
Clear devotional audio and video rights
Devotional content is not automatically exempt from copyright rules. YouTube’s livestream terms require you to have the necessary rights for the live content, including music licensing rights. YouTube scans live streams for third-party content; a match can replace the broadcast with a placeholder and, if it remains, interrupt or terminate the stream. YouTube’s copyright guidance also warns that a license alone may not prevent interruption: the rights owner may need to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist.

- Confirm that the rights cover the intended live broadcast and any archive or replay.
- Check territory and duration limits with the rights holder.
- Ask the rights holder about Content ID allowlisting for your channel before using third-party music.
- Clear video, artwork and other included material as well as the audio.
Common setup problems and fixes
