First identify the watch’s module number, then follow the matching Casio operation guide: Oceanus Bluetooth pairing buttons and manual time-setting steps vary by module. For the documented Bluetooth examples below, you’ll need the CASIO WATCHES app, Bluetooth enabled on your phone, and the phone close to the watch.
Find your Oceanus module number first
Do not assume every Oceanus watch pairs or sets the time the same way. The procedures below are verified for modules 5596 and 5671; check the module number on your watch and open its matching Casio operation guide for module 5596 or the guide for your own module before pressing buttons. Casio’s guide pages for module 5652, module 5701, and module 5712 are also available, but the steps here should not be assumed to apply to them.

Pair the watch with your phone
For modules 5596 and 5671, install CASIO WATCHES, enable Bluetooth on the phone, and keep it within one meter of the watch while pairing. The watch-side button differs by module:
| Module | Pairing button and confirmation | Casio instructions |
|---|---|---|
| 5596 | Hold button A for at least 2.5 seconds until the second hand reaches C. | Module 5596 pairing steps |
| 5671 | Hold button B for at least 2.5 seconds until the second hand moves to C. | Module 5671 pairing steps |
- Install CASIO WATCHES on your phone and turn on Bluetooth.
- Place the phone within one meter of the watch and open CASIO WATCHES.
- In the app, open the My Watch tab and select the applicable product.
- On the watch, hold the module-specific button in the table until the second hand reaches or moves to C.
- Follow the instructions displayed in the app to complete pairing. If pairing fails, repeat the procedure.
Casio notes that the app may request permission to acquire location information on first startup; configure background use as prompted so the app can support the watch connection.

Adjust the time through the phone
Casio says that while a Bluetooth connection exists between the phone and watch, the watch time setting is adjusted automatically. This function depends on CASIO WATCHES running on the phone; a successful pairing does not mean the watch will adjust if the app is unavailable.
Wait for automatic adjustment
On modules 5596 and 5671, Casio describes automatic adjustments four times a day, at approximately 12:30 a.m., 6:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., and 6:30 p.m. Those times are examples for these modules, not a universal Oceanus schedule. The connection ends after adjustment.

For module 5671, keep the phone within one meter and hold button B briefly until the second hand reaches C, then allow the connection to adjust the time. Use the linked module guide if the watch does not respond as described: 5596 automatic adjustment and 5671 automatic adjustment.

If pairing or automatic adjustment does not happen
- Bring the paired phone close to the watch; Casio specifies within one meter for the procedures above.
- Check that Bluetooth is enabled and CASIO WATCHES is running.
- Try again when radio interference is not disrupting communication.
- If the phone is updating its system, wait until the update is complete before trying again.
- If pairing fails, repeat the module-specific pairing procedure.
These are among the causes Casio lists for automatic adjustment not occurring. See the relevant 5596 or 5671 guidance for the watch-specific details.

Casio advises checking hand and day-indicator alignment when the displayed time remains wrong after adjustment; consult the guide for the watch’s module before attempting alignment corrections.
