Set the document-level test option to true to enable DocRaptor test mode; DocRaptor says test PDFs are watermarked. To generate an unwatermarked PDF, set test to false or omit the option, whose documented default is false.
Set the test option on the document request
In the document options you send to DocRaptor, use "test": true. For example:

Generate a PDF without the automatic watermark
Set test to false, or leave it out. DocRaptor’s Test Documents page states: “Test PDFs will be watermarked.” The documentation reviewed does not describe a way to customize or suppress that automatic watermark while keeping test mode enabled.

What test mode changes besides PDF watermarking
DocRaptor’s documentation lists these test-mode effects. The documentation pages do not state publication years for these limits; their status was checked on October 3, 2026.

Use non-test generation when you need an unwatermarked PDF, a complete Excel document, or a hosted document that must remain available beyond the test-mode limits. See the Test Documents guide for DocRaptor’s description of test behavior.

Automatic test watermark versus custom watermark content
DocRaptor’s text-watermark and image-watermark tutorials show how to add watermark markup or an image to the document content. Those are author-created watermarks, separate from the automatic watermark caused by test: true. The tutorials use test mode in their examples; they do not describe custom watermark markup as a way to remove or change the automatic test watermark.
