To set an email reminder in Apple Mail on iPhone, open the message in the Primary category, tap Reply, choose Remind Me, and select a time. Apple says the message will return to the top of your inbox then; this schedules the email to resurface, rather than sending a reply or acting as a general notification. Apple’s Mail guide
Set a reminder for an email
- Open Mail on your iPhone and open the email in Primary that you want to revisit.
- Tap the Reply button.
- Tap Remind Me.
- Choose a suggested time or date option shown in Mail.
When the selected time arrives, the message is brought back to the top of your inbox. Apple’s guide does not specify a particular push-alert sound or notification style. It also does not list every scheduling choice across iOS versions, so use the options displayed in your Mail app rather than expecting a fixed set. See Apple’s current iPhone Mail guide.

Choose the right kind of reminder

Use Reminders for a separate task
If you need a task that stands on its own rather than an email resurfacing in the inbox, create it in the Reminders app and set a date and time. Apple notes that the guide’s features are available with updated iCloud Reminders, and some features may not be available with other accounts. Apple Reminders guide

If you can’t find Remind Me
Apple documents this workflow for a message in the Primary category. The cited guide does not establish that the action is available for every message, account, mailbox, or iOS version. Check that you opened a Primary message and used its Reply button; if the screen differs, check your iOS version and Apple’s current instructions rather than assuming the same menu choices appear everywhere.
