How to activate and pair the HBS-SL5
LG’s US support page lists English and Spanish owner’s manuals for the HBS-SL5, dated 2019-08-12. Consult the manual for the headset’s exact power and pairing controls; the detailed sequence is not established by the available product information.
- Charge or check the headset. Use the included USB-C data cable if charging is needed. LG rates charging at under one hour.

What the HBS-SL5 supports
LG’s UK product specifications list Bluetooth 5.0, Google Fast Pair, multipoint, and SBC and AAC audio codecs. These are published specifications, not a promise that every phone, computer, or television will support every feature. For best results, check the source device’s Bluetooth capabilities and follow the headset manual when connecting it.
LG also lists Meridian EQ with Bass, Normal, Treble, and Flat presets; companion-app support for Android and iOS; voice-command support for Google Assistant and Siri; and TV use. These features may depend on the connected device, app, or setup.
