To check whether a Twitch streamer is growing, compare average concurrent viewers across several equivalent time periods—not just the highest viewer count from one stream. For your own channel, use Creator Dashboard → Analytics. To check another public channel, compare its statistics on SullyGnome. Then use hours watched, followers gained, streaming hours and content consistency to put the viewer trend in context.
Check your own channel in Twitch Analytics
- Open Creator Dashboard → Analytics → Overview.
- Choose the last 30 days or set a custom date range. Compare it with another period of similar length, such as the preceding 30 days, so the time windows are meaningful.
- Start with average viewers, then review hours watched and followers gained. Check how much you streamed in each period and whether your content changed.
- For a recent, stream-by-stream snapshot, open that broadcast’s Stream Summary. Twitch says it shows data such as viewers, followers and chatters, and lets you compare performance with the previous stream.
- For additional context, explore the other Analytics pages, including Discovery information about how viewers found your stream.

Check another streamer’s public stats
- Search for the channel on SullyGnome and open its channel statistics.
- Select a period, such as 7, 30, 90, 180 or 365 days. Compare more than one period, favoring comparable windows when judging direction.
- Review average viewers alongside hours watched and follower gains. Use peak viewers as a separate measure of the highest point, not as a stand-in for the typical audience.
- Consider the creator’s streaming time and content in each period. A change in hours broadcast or format can help explain a change in the numbers.
SullyGnome displays public channel statistics and comparison indicators for measures including hours watched, average viewers, peak viewers and follower gains. The site and Twitch may not use identical collection methods, so name the service and period if you report a figure.

Which metrics show audience growth?

How to interpret the trend
- Look for a pattern across periods. A short-term rise can be a temporary spike; check a longer comparable range before calling it sustained growth.
- Read metrics together. Rising average viewers supported by more hours watched and follower gains is a stronger indication of an expanding audience than a peak count alone.
- Account for what changed. Compare broadcast time and content between periods. A different schedule, game or format may affect results.
- Keep the source attached to the number. Public analytics and first-party dashboard figures may differ; specify the tool and selected date range when sharing a comparison.
Choose the right view for the question
- “Is my channel improving?” Use Twitch Analytics with comparable date ranges, then inspect Stream Summary for individual broadcasts.
- “Is another streamer growing?” Use SullyGnome’s public channel statistics and compare several available periods.
- “Did one stream perform unusually well?” Use Stream Summary or a short public-statistics window, but do not mistake one high peak for a lasting audience trend.
