How to See Recently Viewed Posts and Watched Reels on Facebook

Find watched Reels and videos in Facebook Activity Log, recover posts you interacted with or saved, and learn what to try for posts you only scrolled past.
Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

To find a Facebook Reel or video you watched, open Activity Log and look for Videos you’ve watched. If you liked, reacted to, commented on, or saved a post, check that activity or your Saved list. Facebook does not provide an established complete history of ordinary posts you only scrolled past, so search for the post or revisit the profile, Page, or group that shared it.

Find a Reel or video you watched

  1. Sign in to the Facebook profile you used when you watched the video.
  2. Open your profile or Facebook’s settings and activity area, then select Activity Log.
  3. In the Activity Log, open the activity history or category filters and look for Videos you’ve watched. The category may be grouped with other logged activity.
  4. If the list offers date filters, narrow it to when you watched the video, then select the entry to try to reopen it.

Meta describes the Activity Log as a history of activity on Facebook. Its Help Center says the Videos tab was renamed to the Reels tab in June 2025, but that change does not establish a separate Reels-history screen for every account. Look for watched-video activity rather than assuming the Reel will appear in a dedicated history page. Menu names and locations can vary by app version and account, so use the category filters if the labels differ. Meta Help Center: Access or download information about your activity in Facebook groups and Meta Help Center: Explore and watch Facebook reels.

Recover a post you interacted with or saved

  • Liked or reacted: In Activity Log, look for the category for likes or reactions.
  • Commented: Check the comments category in Activity Log.
  • Saved: Open Facebook’s Saved list and look for the item there.

These routes can help with regular posts as well as videos, but only if you took the relevant action. A like, reaction, comment, or save is a separate clue from simply seeing an item in Feed. Meta’s Activity Log and privacy controls may use different labels as Facebook updates its interface; see Meta Help Center: View and adjust your Facebook privacy settings.

If you only scrolled past a post

For a text or photo post you did not interact with, the sources available do not establish a complete list of posts merely shown in Feed. Try Facebook Search with remembered words from the post, the poster’s name, or the name of the Page or group that shared it. You can also revisit that person’s profile, Page, or group and look through its posts. These are search strategies, not guaranteed recovery methods.
