Add the capture date and relevant account or location context in a separate note when needed. Before sharing, check merchant terms and workplace confidentiality rules, and redact unrelated personal or account information.
Why the signed-in account and company location matter
A B2B catalog price may not be visible to an anonymous visitor, and the price shown can depend on the customer account or the company location selected in the portal. Shopify, for example, says B2B customers must sign in to see B2B-specific products and pricing. Its documented flow can ask a buyer whose account is linked to multiple company locations to choose which location to purchase for; catalog pricing is assigned at the company-location level. Other portals may also show customer-specific price sheets or limit which products a customer can see. Propeller Commerce describes price sheets and order lists that filter product visibility, and notes that authenticated users may see different prices from anonymous visitors: Propeller Commerce’s B2B overview. A screenshot from one account therefore records that account’s view; it should not be presented as a universal price.

Prepare a screenshot that can be understood later
Before capturing, verify the selected account and location, then frame the page so the relevant product or variant and its price are visible together. Preserve the unit, currency, and any quantity break or other condition shown by the portal. Shopify documents catalog fixed prices and overall adjustments, as well as quantity rules and volume pricing, all of which can change how a displayed figure should be read.

- Include enough of the product name, variant, or identifier to distinguish the item.
- Keep the displayed price, currency, unit, and relevant quantity condition in frame.
- Record the capture date and, where it affects pricing, the customer account or company location in a separate note.
- Crop or redact unrelated names, addresses, email addresses, account identifiers, and order details before sharing.
The date-and-context note is practical recordkeeping guidance, not a screenshot format prescribed by Shopify. Avoid exposing more customer or account information than the reader needs to interpret the price.
Take a one-off screenshot manually
- Open the merchant’s portal in the browser where you are authorized to use the customer account.
- Sign in and complete any verification the portal requires. If it asks you to select a company location, choose the location relevant to the price you need to record.
- Open the correct catalog item and confirm the product, variant, price, currency, and quantity conditions.
- Use your browser or operating system’s screenshot function to capture the displayed page. The exact shortcut depends on the device and operating system; consult its own instructions if you need the key combination.
- Save the image with a useful filename, and keep the date and necessary account/location context in a separate note rather than adding sensitive details to the image.
- Before distributing the image, redact unrelated account data and confirm that sharing the customer-specific price is allowed by the merchant’s terms and your organization’s rules.
Automate only when authorized
For a recurring workflow, an authenticated screenshot service may technically accept session cookies or an Authorization header. Screenshot Scout documents those options in its authentication guidance. That capability does not establish that a specific retailer permits automated capture, that transferring session credentials to a third party is allowed, or that a service’s security and data-retention practices suit your use. Confirm permission and assess credential handling before sending credentials or captured pages to an external service.

Choose an approach based on whether captures are occasional or recurring, whether it can use the intended authenticated session, and how it handles credentials and captured data. Provider prices, retention policies, and security controls are not established here, so verify them directly rather than assuming they are comparable.

Sharing limits and what the image proves
The screenshot shows what appeared for a particular customer context at a particular time. It does not by itself prove that the price is generally available, applies to another buyer, or remains current. The sources establish that customer-specific B2B prices exist, but they do not settle whether an individual merchant permits copying or public redistribution of negotiated prices. Check the relevant terms and internal confidentiality rules before sharing beyond the people who need the record.
