Sign in to the seller portal with an account authorized to view the dashboard, open the page you need, and use your device’s built-in screenshot tool. On Windows, press Windows key + Shift + S; on Mac, press Shift-Command-5. Capture only the necessary area, then inspect the image for private seller, customer, order, or financial details before sharing it.
Before you capture a seller dashboard
Use the marketplace’s official seller portal and an account you are permitted to access. Amazon identifies Seller Central as the website sellers use to manage sales activity such as listings, inventory, pricing, buyer communication, account health, and support (Amazon Seller Central). Flipkart describes learning resources and seller support accessible through its dashboard (Flipkart Seller Hub). Interfaces vary by marketplace and account, so these examples do not imply that every Indian seller portal looks or works the same way.

- Sign in through the official portal. Do not share credentials or capture a password, one-time code, or security prompt.
- Open the specific dashboard page, report, or panel that the screenshot needs to document.
- Wait until the figures, labels, and charts finish loading. Dismiss menus or notifications that cover the relevant information.
- Frame the screenshot so the necessary content and enough surrounding interface to identify it are visible, while leaving unrelated account and customer details out.
Take the screenshot on a computer
Windows
Press Windows key + Shift + S to open Snipping Tool capture. Choose a rectangular, window, full-screen, or freeform snip as appropriate, then select the region or window. Open the capture in Snipping Tool to review and save it. Microsoft documents capture, editing, and save/share actions in its Snipping Tool guide.
Mac
Press Shift-Command-5 to show Screenshot controls. Choose to capture a window or a selected portion of the screen, then take the screenshot. Apple documents the available controls in Take a screenshot on your Mac.

Take the screenshot on a phone or tablet
Android
On supported devices, press Power + Volume Down. Android 12 or later offers scrolling screenshots on most screens that allow scrolling, but the steps and availability can vary by handset and screen. See Google’s Android screenshot instructions.
iPhone or iPad
On Face ID models, press the side button + volume up. On models with a Home button, press Home + side or top button. Button combinations depend on the model; Apple’s iPhone and iPad screenshot guide identifies the applicable controls.

Review and protect the image before sharing
A screenshot copies the information visible in the selected area. Check the saved image at full size, not just its thumbnail. Look for seller or customer names, addresses, phone numbers, order IDs, payout or bank details, email addresses, browser tabs, and security notifications. Crop to what the recipient needs and redact unrelated personal information before sending or publishing.
India’s DPDP framework identifies principles including purpose limitation, data minimisation, storage limitation, and security safeguards. Microsoft says supported versions of Snipping Tool can use Text actions to quickly redact email addresses and phone numbers; manually check for other identifying details too (Snipping Tool guide).

If the screenshot option is blocked
A marketplace, workplace device, or managed browser may restrict screenshots. Do not try to defeat that restriction. Ask the account administrator or marketplace support for an approved way to document the issue. Chrome Enterprise Premium documents screenshot-prevention controls for managed users and browsers (Chrome Enterprise screenshot policy); Amazon and Flipkart describe seller support through their respective portals.
