When a webpage adds content only as you scroll, first scroll through it in stages and pause for each new section to load. Then return to the top and take a full-page screenshot. Check the result: full-page capture does not guarantee that every scroll-triggered section was loaded. If content is still missing, capture overlapping sections or use the page’s print or export option.
Why scroll-loaded pages can be incomplete
A full-page screenshot asks a browser or device to capture beyond the visible screen. A page that loads new content only when you approach it has a separate job: it must first trigger those loading events. The capture tool may not do that automatically, so a long screenshot can omit sections that were never loaded.

Scroll down a little at a time, wait for each section to appear, and continue to the part of the page you need. Return to the top and take the full-page capture, then inspect it before sharing. This is a practical workaround, not a guarantee; Apple, Google, and Mozilla’s instructions explain full-page or scrolling capture but do not promise every dynamically loaded section will be triggered.
iPhone: capture a full Safari webpage
- In Safari, open the page. Scroll through it in stages and wait for the content you need to load.
- Take a screenshot: on an iPhone with Face ID, quickly press and release the side button and volume-up button together. On an iPhone with a Home button, quickly press and release the side and Home buttons together.
- Tap the screenshot preview, then choose Full Page.
- Review and crop the capture if needed. Save it to Photos as an image, or choose Save PDF to Files.
Apple documents full-page capture for webpages in Safari and saving the result as an image or PDF. Apple’s iPhone screenshot instructions do not guarantee that every scroll-triggered element will load during capture, so prepare the page first and verify the result.

Android: use scrolling screenshot when available
- Open the page and scroll through it gradually, pausing for sections to load.
- Take a screenshot. Google’s general instructions use Power plus Volume down; controls can differ by device.
- If the screenshot controls offer a scrolling screenshot option, select it and extend the capture to the desired endpoint.
- Review the result in Gallery or your device’s screenshots location.
Google says scrolling screenshots apply to Android 12 and later and work on most screens that allow scrolling—not every screen. Button combinations and the location of the scrolling control vary by manufacturer. If the option is absent, check your phone maker’s support instructions. Google’s Android screenshot guide describes the supported workflow.

- Open the webpage in Firefox and scroll through it in stages, waiting for the content you want to appear.
- Right-click an empty area of the page and choose Take Screenshot.
- Choose Save full page, then inspect the saved capture for missing sections.
Mozilla also documents a Developer Tools screenshot route for capturing the entire page, including a --fullpage option for its screenshot helper. See Mozilla’s Firefox screenshot instructions and the Firefox Developer Tools screenshot documentation.
If the capture still misses content
- Scroll and wait again: Some pages load only when a section approaches the viewport. Pause until it renders, continue to the intended endpoint, and recapture.
- Capture sections separately: If full-page capture still omits content, take overlapping screenshots of manageable sections. The overlap makes it easier to align them if you combine the images.
- Try print or export: If the site provides a print view, download, or export function, it may be a better fit for a very long page.
- Check the endpoint: Pages with endless scrolling may not have a final full-page image. Capture the portion you need rather than relying on an unbounded capture.
Or skip the browser setup
For a developer workflow, ScreenshotNeo can return a webpage screenshot or PDF from one GET request. Its full-page capture can load lazy images, but for a site that loads sections only after scrolling, inspect the output to confirm the sections you need are present.
Example cURL request:
curl -G "https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot" -d access_key=YOUR_API_KEY --data-urlencode url=https://stripe.com -o shot.webp
See the ScreenshotNeo API documentation for request options. Cookie and consent banners are accepted and removed before capture, along with supported newsletter popups and chat widgets; each step can be turned off. Bot checks or CAPTCHAs, blank pages, timeouts, failed loads, and cache hits are not billed, and response headers indicate the page verdict and billing status.
