Accept the site’s cookie banner first, wait for it to disappear and for the page to settle, then capture the page. On a Mac, press Shift-Command-4 and drag around the visible page content, or press Shift-Command-5 to choose a screen, window or selected portion. These built-in shortcuts capture what is visible; to include content below the fold, use a browser’s full-page capture option.
Capture the page after accepting the banner

Open the webpage in your browser and use its consent banner’s control to accept cookies. The wording and choices differ by site, so follow the controls shown on that page.

Wait until the banner disappears and the page has finished changing. If the layout shifts after consent, adjust the page to the view you want before taking the shot.

For a crop of the visible page, press Shift-Command-4. Drag the crosshair over the page area and release to capture. This is useful when you want to exclude the browser tabs and controls. Apple’s Mac screenshot instructions describe selected-area and window capture.

To pick a capture mode, press Shift-Command-5. The macOS Screenshot controls offer capture of the entire screen, a window or a selected portion. In Options, you can choose a save location and timer, and whether to show the pointer. Apple documents these Screenshot controls.

To capture a browser window, press Shift-Command-4, then press Space and click the window. A window capture can include tabs and browser controls; select a portion instead if the image should show only the webpage.

After capture, open the thumbnail that appears to edit or share the screenshot, or allow macOS to save it to the chosen location.

Capture an entire webpage, including below the fold
The built-in Mac screenshot shortcuts capture the screen, a window or a selected visible area. They do not turn a long webpage into a full-document screenshot. For that, use a full-page capture feature available in your browser, then inspect the resulting image for missing or displaced content. Browser menus and features can vary by version; consult the current browser interface rather than assuming identical steps across Safari, Chrome and Firefox.
Help lazy-loaded content appear
Some pages load images and other content as you scroll. Before taking a full-page capture, scroll through the page so those elements have a chance to load. This recommendation is described in iDownloadBlog’s full-page screenshot guide, updated March 6, 2026. Check the final capture: dynamic pages can still shift or omit content.

Screenshot versus saving a webpage in Safari
Safari’s File > Save As is not a way to export a screenshot. Apple says Safari can save a Web Archive, which preserves page graphics and links, or Page Source, which saves HTML. Choose a screenshot capture when you need an image of the post-consent page state; choose a webpage save format when you need the page-related file instead. See Apple’s Safari save options.
