On a Samsung Galaxy A02s, turn on the built-in Assistant menu and check whether it offers a Screenshot control. If your software build includes it, you can capture the screen with an on-screen tap instead of the power key. You can also try Palm swipe to capture if that setting is available on your phone.
Use Assistant menu for an on-screen Screenshot control
The A02s user manual documents Assistant menu under Accessibility as an aid for users with reduced dexterity. It does not confirm that Screenshot appears in every version of the menu, so check your phone rather than assuming the option is present. Samsung Community guidance says Screenshots is included by default among the selectable items.

- Open Settings.
- Tap Accessibility > Interaction and dexterity > Assistant menu.
- Turn on Assistant menu.
- Open the floating Assistant menu and look for Screenshot. If it is not there, return to the Assistant menu settings and inspect Select Assistant menu items. You can also search Settings for “Assistant menu.”
- Tap Screenshot to capture the current screen.
The floating control may cover part of the display; depending on your software version, you may be able to move it or switch Assistant menu off when you are done. The menu names and available actions can vary by software version, carrier, or region.

Samsung documents Palm swipe to capture as a Galaxy screenshot method, but warns that it may not be available on every Galaxy phone. Its general settings path is Settings > Advanced features > Motions and gestures > Palm swipe to capture.

- Search Settings for Palm swipe to capture. If the setting appears, open it and turn it on.
- Place the edge of your hand against one side of the screen.
- Swipe your hand across the display to the other side.
If the setting is missing or the gesture does not capture the screen, use Assistant menu if its Screenshot action is available. Do not assume the absence of Palm swipe means your A02s is malfunctioning.
Check where the screenshot went
Samsung’s general Galaxy guidance says screenshots are saved in Gallery > Albums > Screenshots. A brief flash or a preview on screen may also indicate that a capture succeeded.

When screenshots are blocked
Some apps or protected content prevent screenshots for security reasons. Samsung notes that the phone may display a message such as “Can’t take screenshot due to security measure.” That message points to a restriction on the app or content, not necessarily a problem with your gesture or Assistant menu setup.
The A02s model family has Android 10 and Android 11 manual variants listed by Samsung Support Pakistan, so the exact menus can differ across software versions and regions. If the steps do not match your phone, check its Settings search and the support information for your software version. Google’s Android guidance likewise directs users to the phone manufacturer when general screenshot instructions do not work.
