You can schedule several YouTube Premieres in a playlist, but you must schedule each video’s Premiere separately in YouTube Studio. Use the playlist to group the videos and set their viewing order; it is not a documented bulk scheduler. Uploading up to 15 videos at once does not schedule all of them as Premieres in one step.
How to schedule several YouTube Premieres
- Plan the release sequence. Choose each video’s publication date and time, the playlist order, and a cadence you can maintain. YouTube recommends considering frequency, consistency, and content volume when planning an upload schedule: YouTube’s upload schedule guidance.
- Create or select a playlist. In YouTube Studio, create a playlist or choose an existing one, then add the videos and arrange them in the order viewers should watch. You can also select a playlist while entering a video’s upload details. Playlist organization is separate from Premiere scheduling: manage playlists in YouTube Studio.
- Upload each video. In YouTube Studio, select Create > Upload videos, choose a file, and fill in its details. YouTube allows up to 15 videos to be uploaded at once, but its instructions still require editing the details for each file. Uploading in a batch is not the same as scheduling a batch of Premieres: upload videos.
- Schedule that video as a Premiere. In the video’s details, open Visibility, choose Schedule, set the date and time, and check Set as Premiere. Choose a countdown theme and length if desired, then schedule the video. Repeat this step for every video. See YouTube’s Premiere instructions.
- Share each Premiere page. Once scheduled, each Premiere has its own public watch page and shareable URL. YouTube recommends scheduling at least 24 hours ahead to give viewers around the world an opportunity to see the thumbnail in their subscriptions feed. What the playlist can—and cannot—do
A playlist groups the videos and lets you arrange their order for viewers. YouTube’s official help describes setting a Premiere through each video’s upload or visibility workflow; it does not document a playlist-level control for scheduling every item as a Premiere. The reliable documented approach is therefore to schedule each video individually and use the playlist for organization.

YouTube also offers a series playlist designation for videos intended to be watched together. It has separate eligibility rules: the account must be verified, each video can appear in only one series playlist, and included videos must be uploaded by the creator and for which the creator has rights. Before you schedule the whole sequence
- Check time zones. Confirm the displayed date, time, and time zone for every scheduled Premiere, especially if viewers are in different regions.
- Exclude Shorts. YouTube Premieres are not supported for Shorts.
- Check channel restrictions. A Community Guidelines strike can prevent a scheduled Premiere from publishing during the penalty period; it may remain private until rescheduled.
- Allow time to promote. Share each watch-page URL in posts, social channels, or pinned comments. YouTube’s 24-hour recommendation is intended to give audiences an opportunity to see the thumbnail, not a promise of reach.
Optional Premiere features and eligibility
You can choose a countdown theme and length during setup. YouTube also supports adding a trailer for eligible creators: the channel must have more than 1,000 subscribers and no Community Guidelines strikes. The trailer must run 15 seconds to 3 minutes, cannot be a video that has already premiered, and must meet YouTube’s video and rights requirements. Details: Premiere setup and eligibility.

Some monetization and chat features are also eligibility-dependent. YouTube describes pre-roll ads during a Premiere; mid-roll and post-roll ads are unavailable during the Premiere itself. Super Chat and Super Stickers may be enabled in live chat, and eligible channels may use members-only chat. These options are not available to every channel.
Troubleshooting a scheduled playlist
- A video is not a Premiere: Open that video’s Visibility settings and confirm Set as Premiere was selected. Scheduling or adding a video to a playlist alone does not make it a Premiere.
- Only some videos are scheduled: Check each video individually. A multi-video upload does not replace setting the schedule and Premiere option for each file.
- The order looks wrong: Reorder the playlist itself; Premiere dates and playlist order are separate. Consider how viewers will find the sequence on the playlist page.
- A scheduled video stays private: Check whether a Community Guidelines strike is affecting publication. YouTube says a scheduled Premiere can remain private during the penalty period and need to be rescheduled.
- You cannot add a trailer: Verify channel eligibility, trailer duration, rights, and whether the trailer has already premiered.
