To schedule a daily guided meditation on YouTube, open YouTube Studio, select Create → Go Live, then in Live Control Room choose Manage → Schedule Stream. Create an event for each session, save and share its upcoming watch page, then start the encoder feed and select Go live when it is time. Scheduling makes an event page; it does not start or send the live video.
Before scheduling: check that your channel can go live
YouTube’s stated requirements are that the channel is verified, has had no live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days, and the person streaming is at least 16 years old. Check access before building a daily plan, since the menu or live features may not be available to every channel. See YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility guidance.

Schedule each meditation session in YouTube Studio
- In YouTube Studio, select Create → Go Live to open Live Control Room.
- Choose Manage → Schedule Stream.
- Select Create new for a fresh event, or Reuse settings to carry over settings from an earlier stream.
- Enter the session’s title, description, scheduled date and time, and visibility. Make the title and description specific to that day’s meditation if the session topic changes.
- Save the event. Open its watch page and share the URL with your audience in advance.
YouTube says scheduling lets you promote a stream; viewers can visit the upcoming page and may opt in to a reminder. A scheduled stream may appear as upcoming in subscribers’ feeds, but that does not guarantee that every subscriber will receive a notification or see it.

For most creators: make a separate event for each day
The YouTube Studio Help workflow documents scheduling a stream and reusing settings, but not a daily-repeat control. Treat daily sessions as separate events. Reuse settings can reduce repeated setup, but review what it copied—especially the title, description, visibility, scheduled time, and stream key—before saving the next event.

Choose a consistent audience-facing time and state its time zone anywhere you promote the session. If your local clocks change seasonally, check that the scheduled time still matches the time your viewers expect.
For developers: use separate broadcast resources
Google’s Live Streaming API documentation describes a pattern in which an application creates multiple liveBroadcast resources and binds them to one liveStream. Each broadcast remains a distinct event, while the stream resource’s delivery settings can be reused. This is an API implementation pattern, not a one-click recurring event in YouTube Studio. Start the actual live meditation at the scheduled time
- In your encoder, enter the YouTube stream URL and the stream key for the scheduled event. Keep the stream key private; anyone who can use it may be able to send a feed to your stream.
- Start streaming from the encoder so it sends video to YouTube.
- Return to Live Control Room and wait until the incoming feed appears in the preview.
- Check that the expected picture and audio are present, then select Go live.
The upcoming watch page exists before the encoder connects. It is not confirmation that the live feed has started. YouTube’s encoder instructions are in Create a YouTube live stream with an encoder.

Before the first scheduled meditation—and whenever you change equipment, software, or network—test the setup. YouTube’s production guidance recommends checking the preview and confirming the event is accessible. Use the advance time that makes sense for your own equipment and connection; a test is a precaution, not a guarantee against interruptions. See YouTube’s live-streaming tips.

When the session is over, end the stream in Live Control Room and stop the encoder feed. YouTube says streams shorter than 12 hours are automatically archived. You can manage past, current, and upcoming streams from the Live area in Studio.

The scheduling steps are separate from how you produce the session. YouTube supports mobile, webcam, encoder, and console methods. For a guided meditation with live spoken instruction, choose a setup that captures your voice clearly; a microphone is optional, not a scheduling requirement. A webcam is only needed if you want viewers to see you. An encoder is useful when you need to bring in hardware such as a microphone or camera, or want more production control. Troubleshoot common scheduling and launch problems
- You can’t find “Go Live” or schedule an event: check channel verification, live-stream restrictions in the previous 90 days, and the age requirement. Menu access can vary; consult YouTube’s current eligibility guidance.
- The event is scheduled, but viewers do not see live video: scheduling creates the event page only. Start the encoder feed, wait for its preview in Live Control Room, and select Go live.
- The wrong session details appear: if you used Reuse settings, reopen the event details and correct copied title, description, date, time, and visibility before sharing the URL.
- The stream does not appear in the preview: confirm that the encoder is sending to the YouTube stream URL and is using the intended stream key. Check the encoder’s connection and feed before selecting Go live.
- The session time is confusing for viewers: include the time zone in announcements and check the event time after local clock changes.
