Schedule the video release in YouTube Studio, then edit the playlist separately—or schedule a post announcing the playlist change.
What you can—and cannot—schedule
YouTube’s scheduled-publishing feature is for an individual video: its help page says, “You can use scheduled publishing to schedule a private video to go public at a specific time.” YouTube’s scheduling instructions cover that release, while its playlist guidance covers creating and manually managing playlists, including reordering videos. The checked guidance does not describe a native timed switch for playlist membership or order.

So if your devotional playlist should start including a new bhajan, kirtan, Gurbani recording, or other video at midnight, you can arrange for that video to become public then. You must still add it to the playlist separately. If you need a video removed or the order changed at midnight, schedule that playlist edit separately in your own workflow; the documented YouTube controls do not automate it.
Schedule a video for 00:00 IST
- Upload or open the video in YouTube Studio. Follow the computer upload workflow, or open the existing upload you intend to release. Set its visibility to scheduled/private and choose the scheduling option.
- Choose the intended date and time. Select India Standard Time in the timezone control if it is available. Set the date on which the video should become public and the time to 00:00.
- If scheduling against UTC, convert the time carefully. IST is UTC+05:30, so 00:00 IST is 18:30 UTC on the previous calendar date. For example, midnight at the start of 15 August in India is 18:30 UTC on 14 August. This is a timezone conversion, not a special YouTube setting.
- Save the schedule and verify it in Studio. Recheck both the displayed date and timezone. Use the scheduled timestamp in Studio to confirm the intended instant rather than relying on the date shown publicly on the watch page.
Make the playlist change separately
- Open the relevant playlist in YouTube and choose its edit or management controls.
- Add the newly scheduled video, remove a video, or reorder entries as needed. YouTube documents these as playlist-management actions, separate from scheduled video publication.
- Apply the playlist edit at the time you want viewers to see the new devotional sequence. If timing matters, set a reminder; do not assume the playlist edit will run automatically when the video becomes public.
If the playlist must have a different order or membership precisely at midnight, a person needs to make that edit then unless a separate, verified tool or account feature provides the automation you require. The YouTube help pages cited here do not establish that capability.

Why the watch-page date may look different
YouTube says, “When you make a video public on YouTube, the date on the watch page is based on Pacific Standard Time (PST).” Because midnight in India occurs earlier by the clock than the corresponding Pacific date in some cases, the watch-page date can differ from the schedule you see in Studio. That difference alone does not mean the video was scheduled incorrectly; check the date, time, and timezone in Studio.
Schedule an announcement instead of an automatic playlist edit
If the practical goal is to tell subscribers when the devotional playlist changes, you can schedule a Community post with the playlist URL. YouTube’s post-creation guidance covers scheduled posts and adding a playlist link. The post controls when the announcement appears; they do not change the playlist’s contents.
