To start a finished video automatically at a chosen time, create a pre-recorded stream schedule in Livepush, choose YouTube as the destination, and set the date, time, and time zone. Livepush says its cloud servers start the broadcast at the scheduled moment, so your computer does not need to stay on. Scheduling a YouTube Live Event is a separate workflow: creating the event does not, by itself, start an encoder feed.
Choose the right scheduling workflow
Use Livepush’s pre-recorded scheduling workflow if you have an uploaded video and want it to begin unattended at a selected time. Use a YouTube Live Event setup with a linked account or RTMP key when you are configuring an event destination for a stream sent through an encoder. The event workflow and automatic cloud playout are not interchangeable.

Schedule an uploaded video to start automatically
- Enable YouTube live streaming. Confirm that live streaming is enabled for the channel before setting up the broadcast. Livepush says activation for new channels can take up to 24 hours, so do this in advance. Livepush’s YouTube setup guide and live-streaming guide describe this requirement.
- Open Livepush’s Pre-recorded Live dashboard. Upload the video file or files you intend to play. Create a stream schedule, select YouTube as the destination, and save it. Choose “Start Immediately” only if you want to begin now rather than at a later time. See Livepush’s pre-recorded video instructions.
- Set the scheduled date, time, and time zone. Check the displayed time zone against the intended audience or event schedule. Livepush says its servers start the broadcast at the scheduled time, even when your computer is off. Its scheduling feature page describes the date, time, and time-zone controls.
- Review the destination and saved schedule. Confirm the selected YouTube destination and the scheduled details before airtime. Livepush’s published information does not establish exact start-time tolerance, daylight-saving conversion behavior, or what happens after a last-minute edit, so avoid relying on second-level timing.
Set up a YouTube Live Event destination in Livepush
This is for configuring an event destination; it is not a substitute for the pre-recorded schedule above when your goal is an automatic start from uploaded video.

Linked YouTube account
- From the Livepush stream dashboard, add a YouTube destination.
- Sign in to YouTube and authorize the account, then select the channel.
- Choose “New Live Event,” enter the event title, description, and privacy settings, and save the destination.
- Turn the destination on and start streaming when you are ready to send the feed.
These are the steps in Livepush’s connected-account guide. Its instructions cover destination setup and starting a stream; they do not state that creating the destination schedules an uploaded video to begin automatically.

Manual RTMP stream key
- In YouTube Studio, open the live room, choose Manage, then Schedule Stream. Create the event and set its details and scheduled time.
- Copy the event’s RTMP stream key from YouTube Studio.
- Return to Livepush, configure a YouTube destination with that key, and save it.
- Repeat the setup for each event if the channel is not linked to Livepush.
Livepush’s manual YouTube setup guide describes this route and notes that YouTube live comments will not appear in Livepush Multi chat overlay when using manual RTMP.
Check these details before the scheduled start
- Confirm that YouTube live streaming is enabled; new-channel activation can take up to 24 hours according to Livepush.
- Verify the video, destination, date, time, and displayed time zone in the saved Livepush schedule.
- For encoder-based events, distinguish the YouTube event’s scheduled time from the action that actually sends a video feed. YouTube’s API documents broadcast scheduled start time and an auto-start property, but that alone does not establish how a particular Livepush integration behaves. - Check Livepush’s current plan page for applicable capacity limits and confirm the features available in your account: Livepush pricing.
Troubleshooting a scheduled start
The channel is not available as a destination
Live streaming may not yet be enabled for the channel, or activation may still be processing. Enable it ahead of time; Livepush says new-channel activation can take up to 24 hours.

The YouTube event exists, but no video starts
Creating and scheduling a YouTube event does not establish that an encoder or uploaded-video feed has started. For automatic pre-recorded playout, create and save the Livepush schedule with the YouTube destination. For an encoder workflow, follow the linked-account or manual RTMP steps and start sending the feed.

The stream is set for the wrong time
Recheck the date, displayed time zone, and destination in the saved Livepush schedule. The published scheduling details do not specify daylight-saving handling or exact start-time tolerance, so do not assume an undocumented conversion or precision guarantee.

A manually configured event needs another setup
With manual RTMP, use the key for the specific YouTube event and repeat the configuration for each event. The manual route also lacks YouTube live comments in the Livepush Multi chat overlay.
