Before then, confirm your linked account, record your Support ID, and keep the app installed while you wait for the paid-Jewel refund instructions.
What happens to your progress when service ends?
Genius Sonority’s end-of-service announcement, published October 5, 2026, sets the shutdown for December 7, 2026, at 11:00 JST. The publisher says, “After the end of service, in-game data such as Jewels and items will no longer be available.” Its notice does not offer a game-data export, offline mode, or permanent archive.

Cross-save is for using the same game account on supported platforms while the service is operating; it is not a way to preserve progress beyond the shutdown. A Nintendo console backup or device-to-device transfer likewise does not establish that the publisher-hosted game data will remain available after service ends.

- Check your linked account on each platform you use. Open the game on the devices where you intend to play and make sure they use the same linked account. The game’s March 2025 cross-save announcement says cross-save works by linking the same account. The April 2026 Switch 2 announcement says Switch players can continue with the same save using the same Nintendo Account. Linked devices cannot play simultaneously. These features allow access across platforms while service operates; they do not promise continued access after shutdown.
- Write down your Support ID. From the app’s title screen, open Support and record the ID. Genius Sonority says it will remain viewable there through March 31, 2027.
- Keep the app installed. Do not delete it or reinstall it on a new device until refund handling for unused paid currency is complete. The publisher says it needs player data to verify inquiries.
- Decide whether to spend paid Jewels before shutdown. Sales of paid items, including Jewels, ended October 5, 2026, at 11:00 JST. The publisher recommends using remaining paid Jewels before service ends. Refunds under Japan’s Payment Services Act apply to unused paid currency; they are not a refund for ordinary items or lost progress.
- Watch the official game news page for refund details. The publisher says it will announce the request dates and procedure after service ends. A request deadline and the steps to claim are not yet stated, so do not assume a particular form or date.
Events still running when service ends will end partway through, according to the publisher’s notice.

Will cross-save transfer your progress to mobile or Switch 2?
Cross-save can let you use the same account across supported platforms before the servers close, provided you link the same account. The publisher’s Switch 2 announcement says Switch players can continue with their existing save using the same Nintendo Account, and that linked devices cannot play at the same time. Paid currency is not shared between platforms, according to the cross-save release information.
Neither announcement says cross-save creates a standalone save file or preserves access after the service ends. It is useful for continuing on another supported device now—not as a shutdown backup.

Can Nintendo Switch cloud saves or console transfer preserve the game?
Nintendo’s Save Data Cloud guidance says the feature requires an active Nintendo Switch Online membership and that support depends on the software. The available official information does not confirm that THE NEW DENPA MEN supports Save Data Cloud. Nintendo also says cloud backups cannot be accessed after a membership expires, although access returns if the player resubscribes within 180 days. Even if this game supported cloud saves, a console backup would not prove that its publisher-hosted data survives the service shutdown.
Nintendo’s nearby-console save transfer instructions describe moving an eligible save between Switch systems. The save is removed from the source console during the transfer. This can help move a supported console save to another Switch; it does not export the game’s server-side account or keep an ended online service running.

Do not look for the save on a microSD card: Nintendo says Switch save data is stored in system memory, not on game cards or microSD cards. A microSD copy therefore is not a way to archive this progress.

The publisher says unused paid currency will be refunded under Japan’s Payment Services Act. Its October 5, 2026 notice says request dates and procedures will be announced after service ends. Until that announcement appears, the claim window, application method, and any other requirements are not established. Keep the app installed and your Support ID available, and check the official game news page for the published process.
