Choose how the scenario starts
A Make scenario is a workflow assembled from modules. Start it on a schedule if you want recurring captures, or use a trigger from another app when a URL becomes available—for example, a row added to a spreadsheet. Make describes both scheduled and event-triggered patterns for screenshot workflows. See Make’s GetScreenshot integration.

Set up the screenshot capture

Add the GetScreenshot app to the scenario and create its connection. GetScreenshot’s Make documentation requires an active GetScreenshot account and API key for this connection. GetScreenshot app documentation.

Select Take Screenshot to capture a whole webpage. Choose Take Element Screenshot instead when you need one element and can provide its selector. Make lists both actions in its GetScreenshot integration.

Map the page URL from the trigger or preceding module into the capture action. Run the module once with a real URL, then inspect its output bundle. The available documentation does not establish a single output mapping for every account or setup.
Send the capture to OneDrive
Choose the handoff based on the output you observed in the capture module. Make’s OneDrive app provides Upload a File and Upload a File by URL; its HTTP app includes a Download a file action. Make’s HTTP and OneDrive integration page.
If GetScreenshot returns file data

Add OneDrive’s Upload a File module.

Connect OneDrive, select the destination folder, and map the capture’s file data to the upload module’s file input. Set a filename that helps identify the page or run.

Run the scenario once and confirm the file appears in the intended folder and opens correctly.

If GetScreenshot returns a usable URL

If the URL can be fetched by OneDrive’s module, use Upload a File by URL and map that URL.

If direct URL upload is unsuitable, add Make’s HTTP Download a file action to retrieve the image, then map the resulting file into OneDrive’s Upload a File module.

Run a sample and verify that OneDrive receives the actual image rather than a link or an error response.

Make’s documentation describes these available actions but does not guarantee that every GetScreenshot output is a URL or file object compatible with a particular upload module. Connect OneDrive and validate the workflow
Add a OneDrive module and create a connection, then authenticate and approve access. Make documents advanced connection settings for custom app client credentials, tenant ID, and additional scopes. These are optional advanced settings, not a required configuration for every account.

Confirm the trigger supplies the URL you expect.

Confirm the capture action returns a successful image result and that the URL or file data is mapped correctly.

Confirm the selected OneDrive folder exists and the filename is useful for later retrieval.

Run a full test before scheduling the scenario or relying on it for new trigger events.

Troubleshoot common failures

The screenshot step cannot connect: Check that the GetScreenshot account is active and that the API key used to create the Make connection is valid.

OneDrive receives no file or an unusable file: Reopen the capture module’s output bundle. Map file data to Upload a File, or pass a fetchable URL to Upload a File by URL. If necessary, download the URL through HTTP first.

The upload fails because of file size: Make identifies file-size limits as a possible cause. Check the captured file size and the applicable OneDrive/Make limits before retrying.

The upload fails because storage is full: Make lists an exhausted OneDrive storage quota as a possible cause. Free space or select an account with available capacity.

The destination folder is missing: Make notes that a folder that no longer exists can cause an upload failure. Select or recreate the intended folder, then rerun the scenario.
