To save several pages with SingleFileZ, select the tabs you want in your browser, then click the SingleFileZ toolbar button. You can also use its batch menu to process selected tabs, unpinned tabs, or all tabs. Wait for the pages to finish loading before you start, and choose the batch scope carefully so you do not save tabs you did not intend to archive.
Save a selected group of tabs
- Wait for the pages to load. SingleFileZ’s help recommends waiting until each page is fully loaded before saving. This matters especially for pages that are still loading content or images.
- Select the tabs you want. Use your browser’s tab-selection controls to select the intended group. Browser gestures for selecting multiple tabs can vary, so use the method supported by your browser.
- Start the batch save. Click the SingleFileZ toolbar button. The extension listing also documents processing multiple tabs in one click.
- Check the destination. If the saved files are not in the expected place, review the configured download or upload destination. The extension listing identifies GitHub upload as an option, and the project FAQ describes connecting Google Drive.
SingleFileZ’s project describes its saved page format as a self-extracting ZIP file; the relevant file-format setting controls this behavior.

Choose the batch scope deliberately

The project documentation lists these batch choices. It does not establish a maximum batch size or guarantee how long a batch will take.

Use the keyboard shortcut
SingleFileZ documents Ctrl+Shift+Y for the current tab or selected tabs. The shortcut is customizable. Browser shortcut-management screens differ, so check your browser’s extension shortcut settings if the keys do not work or conflict with another command.

Why a save may take longer than expected
The project FAQ says the default configuration is optimized to produce small pages, and identifies some processing options that can use more time and CPU. Disabling the following may help on some pages or machines, but results are not guaranteed:
- HTML content > remove hidden elements and Stylesheets > remove unused styles can be turned off to reduce processing work.
- HTML content > remove frames and Images > save deferred images affect whether frames and deferred images are included. Turning them off may leave those resources missing from the saved page.
Change these settings only when the trade-off is acceptable for the pages you are archiving. A saved copy may not reproduce every dynamic element, embedded resource, or login-gated page exactly.

Troubleshooting
The toolbar action does not save the tabs I expected
Confirm which tabs are selected and which batch scope the action uses. If you want only a subset, choose selected tabs rather than unpinned tabs or all tabs.

Check the browser’s download location and SingleFileZ’s configured destination. If using a remote destination, verify that the relevant integration is connected and configured.

The shortcut does nothing or triggers another command
SingleFileZ’s Ctrl+Shift+Y shortcut can be customized. Review the browser’s extension-shortcut settings and resolve any conflict there.
The batch is slow or uses substantial CPU
Try the FAQ’s suggested processing settings: turn off removal of hidden elements or unused stylesheets if you can accept the resulting file trade-offs. The FAQ does not promise a fixed speed improvement. Avoid disabling frame removal or deferred-image saving if those resources need to appear in the archive.

The browser asks for tabs permission
The project FAQ explains that the extension requests the tabs permission so it can inject code to process pages in tabs, and says it is needed for saving several tabs in one click. Review the permission explanation before deciding whether to grant it.
