For one Fandom article, open it while connected and save it with your browser’s page-download or “Save Page As” feature. On Android, Chrome’s documented path is More → Download; open the copy later from More → Downloads. For a stable document, use the browser’s print dialog and choose Save as PDF if that option is available. Test the saved copy before you rely on it offline.
The right method depends on whether you need one article or a whole wiki. Browser saves are suited to individual pages; Fandom database dumps are compressed XML backups that need additional handling. Fandom app bookmarks are only links and do not save articles to your device.

Save one Fandom page in a browser

Use your browser’s page-saving or download control. In Chrome on Android, tap More → Download.

To read the saved page, open More → Downloads in Chrome on Android. Google’s instructions say to save the page while online. Once you are back online, reloading shows the live page rather than the saved copy. Google Chrome: Download a file.

Before travelling or going offline, switch off your connection and open the downloaded item. Check that the text and any images you need are present; do not assume every linked article or image was saved with it.

On desktop, browser menus vary by browser and operating system. Look for Save Page As or a comparable page-saving option. MediaWiki notes that a saved HTML page can retain rendered context, including template output, whether internal links existed at save time, and the last-edit date. It does not automatically save every linked page. When images matter, a browser option such as Save Page with Images may help, though local or relative links can require additional handling. If you want a fixed document rather than a local web page, open the browser’s print dialog and select Save as PDF if your device offers it. This is a browser workaround, not a Fandom export feature. A PDF is convenient to read, but its layout and images can vary, and wiki navigation will not behave like a working local site. Check the resulting file before disconnecting.

What the Fandom app bookmark saves
A bookmark in the Fandom app saves a link in the app’s bookmarks view, not an offline copy of the article. Fandom Community Central’s Help:Fandom app states: “reading bookmarked articles still requires an internet connection as the article is not saved to your device.” The help page also says bookmarks are device-specific.

Fandom describes these downloads as compressed .7z files containing XML. They are backups for personal use or bot maintenance, not ready-to-browse offline websites. The dumps exclude images and private user information; extracting the XML alone does not create a site you can open and navigate. You will need an additional import or reader workflow to use the data conveniently. The wiki’s license terms still apply, so check them before reusing or redistributing dump contents.

If no dump is available or it is out of date
Fandom’s help article says a wiki administrator can request a dump update using the page’s request control. It describes requests as potentially handled during off-peak hours and usually cleared weekly, while noting that generation can fail, often depending on wiki size. The article also says a new dump can be requested through Fandom contact only once every seven days. Availability and timing can change, so check the live instructions on the database-download page.
