After capturing with the Awesome Screenshot extension, the PDF export depends on where the screenshot is saved: for a cloud capture, choose More > Download as PDF; for a local capture, select PDF beside the screenshot. If the local PDF option is missing, turn off Auto-download screenshots.
Capture the page or screen
- Open the Awesome Screenshot extension and choose Capture.
- Select the capture mode you need, such as a visible-area capture or a full-page capture.
- Optionally annotate the result, then choose Save or Done. Awesome Screenshot’s capture instructions describe this flow.
Download a cloud-saved capture as a PDF
- Find the screenshot saved to AwesomeScreenshot.com Cloud.
- Select More beside the capture, then choose Download as PDF.
- Check your browser’s Downloads folder for the file. The help article describes Downloads as the default destination; you can choose a different folder, and browser download settings may also control the default location.

Save a locally stored capture as a PDF
- After capture, select PDF beside the screenshot.
- Look in Downloads, unless you have chosen another download folder.
If PDF is not shown beside the local screenshot, turn off Auto-download screenshots in the extension’s Options. According to the PDF guide, auto-download prevents the PDF option from appearing after capture.

Export a full-page capture
Choose the full-page command for your browser when capturing, then export the result using the cloud or local route above. The extension’s documented labels differ by browser:

- Safari: choose Capture Full Page.
- Firefox: choose Capture Entire Page.
See the full-page capture instructions for the browser-specific process. The PDF export route is still determined by whether the capture is saved in the cloud or locally.
Troubleshoot a missing PDF or download
- No PDF control beside a local capture: turn off Auto-download screenshots in Options, then capture again or check the capture view.
- Looking in the wrong place: check the browser’s Downloads folder and review its download-location setting if you selected a different destination.
- Different labels in your extension: consult the current official help article, because extension interface labels can change.
- Need a full page, but only part of the page was captured: recapture using the full-page command listed for your browser before exporting.
The available instructions do not establish whether exported PDFs are searchable or specify their internal resolution, so do not assume either property.
