To save an Aadhaar update status page as a PDF, open the result in UIDAI’s official MyAadhaar portal, then use desktop Chrome’s print command and choose Save as PDF. The file is a PDF copy of the webpage you can see—not an e-Aadhaar download or an official status certificate.

Go to UIDAI’s official MyAadhaar portal, reaching the status service through UIDAI’s site if needed. Before entering any reference details, check that the address is on

In desktop Chrome, press
Ctrl+Pon Windows or Linux, orCommand+Pon Mac. In the print dialog, set the destination to Save as PDF, review the preview, and select Save. Chrome documents these desktop print controls in its print from Chrome help page. -
Choose a clear filename, save the file, and open it once to confirm that the visible status and any useful reference details appear in the PDF.

This workflow describes desktop Chrome. Browser controls and rendering can differ on mobile, and a portal element that appears on screen may not appear in print preview. If the status is missing from the preview, do not treat the resulting file as proof of the displayed result.

What the PDF is—and is not
Printing captures the status webpage as displayed. UIDAI lists Check Status and Download Aadhaar as separate services, so a printed status page is not e-Aadhaar, an Aadhaar letter, or a newly issued UIDAI document. Use UIDAI’s separate Download Aadhaar service when you need e-Aadhaar.

Saving or printing a page does not change how quickly an update request is processed. UIDAI says update requests can take up to 90 days; this is guidance, not a guaranteed completion date. If a request is still in process after more than 90 days, UIDAI’s FAQ advises contacting 1947 or UIDAI support. It also says processing cannot be expedited. See UIDAI’s Aadhaar online services FAQ.
