Use your browser’s Print → Save to PDF workflow, then inspect the saved PDF’s font properties if embedding is a requirement. A webpage using a web font does not guarantee that the print-to-PDF path will use or embed that font: browser and operating-system support can vary. Print preview helps with layout, but only checking the PDF itself can establish whether its fonts are embedded.
Save a webpage as PDF in your browser

Open the webpage and wait for its text, images, and typography to finish loading. If the page uses a remote web font, allow time for it to download before printing.

Open the browser’s Print dialog and review the preview. In Firefox, choose Save to PDF as the destination. Depending on your platform and output format, available controls can include paper size, scale, margins, headers and footers, and backgrounds. Adjust the available settings until the page layout is usable, then save the PDF.

Open the saved file and inspect its font properties if embedded fonts are essential. A page that looks correct on the computer that created it may still rely on fonts installed on that computer; visual appearance alone does not prove embedding.
Why a web font may change in the PDF
Web-font loading and PDF font embedding are separate steps. CSS @font-face tells a browser how to load and use a font for page rendering; it does not specify what font resources the browser will include in a PDF. MDN’s @font-face reference explains the web-font rule.
Adobe Fonts warns: “If you print a page from a browser or operating system that does not support printing with web fonts, the page will print with the fallback fonts specified in your font stack.” Its support article was last updated July 11, 2023. Adobe Fonts: Printing web fonts

That means a font that appears correctly on screen can be replaced in print output, or the resulting PDF can depend on fonts available in the creating environment. No browser can be called universally reliable for embedding on the evidence available here; behavior needs to be checked for the specific browser and operating system.
How to check whether fonts are embedded in a PDF
Use a PDF reader or font-inspection utility that exposes the document’s font properties. Look for whether each font is listed as embedded (some tools distinguish embedded subsets). Check the fonts used for the text you care about, not just whether the PDF opens or looks right.
The sources cited here do not establish one universally reliable inspection utility or a single browser setting that forces embedding. If your chosen reader does not expose font properties, use another PDF inspection tool rather than treating a visual check as proof.

Fix “web fonts not showing in PDF” or a changed printed font

The preview already shows a different font: wait for the page to finish loading, reload it, and try printing again. If the difference remains, compare the print output in another browser; Adobe notes that unsupported browser and operating-system combinations may use the specified fallback font.

The preview looks right but the saved PDF does not: inspect the PDF’s font properties. The browser may have rendered using a font available locally without embedding it for other computers.

The font is embedded but the page breaks or spacing look wrong: adjust the print settings such as scale and margins, then inspect the preview again. These are layout issues, distinct from font embedding.

You need the same typography for every recipient: if you own or publish the page, consider supplying a prepared PDF or EPS created with the intended fonts, subject to the font’s license. Adobe recommends a downloadable document as an alternative when browser printing is unreliable.
If you control the webpage, improve its print layout
A print stylesheet can change presentation for printing, but it cannot guarantee that a browser embeds fonts. Use the print media type for print-only styles and @page for page dimensions, orientation, or margins. MDN documents these controls in its CSS printing guide.

Paged-media support is uneven: Chrome for Developers reported that Chrome 131 supports generated content in page margins, while noting broader browser support for paged-media functionality has not been strong. If you define a remote font with @font-face, confirm it has loaded before printing. WOFF2 is generally a good modern web-delivery format, but choosing it does not by itself guarantee the browser will embed it in the PDF.
