In Chrome on iPhone, open the webpage, tap Share > View more > Print, then check the print preview for a share or save option. Chrome’s official iPhone instructions cover the AirPrint print route, but do not promise a consistent “Save as PDF” control. If the preview offers no way to save a file, Safari has a documented webpage-to-PDF workflow.
Save a Chrome webpage as a PDF on iPhone
- Open the webpage in Chrome and wait for it to finish loading.
- Tap Chrome’s Share icon.
- Tap View more, then Print. Google’s iPhone and iPad guidance identifies this as the AirPrint route: Print from Chrome – iPhone and iPad.
- Inspect the print preview for a share or save control. If one appears, use the iOS share sheet to save the generated document to Files.
- Choose a destination in Files, give the document a name if prompted, and save it.
The final save step depends on what Chrome and iOS show on your device. Google’s current iPhone printing instructions describe printing with AirPrint, but do not document a universal PDF-export button or a specific gesture for saving the preview as a PDF. Interface details can vary by app and iOS version.

If Chrome’s print preview has no PDF save option
Use Safari’s documented webpage-to-PDF workflow instead. Open the same page in Safari, tap Share > Markup > Done, choose Save File To, select a Files destination, name the PDF, and tap Save. See Apple’s instructions for annotating and saving a webpage as a PDF.

Why Android and desktop instructions may not match
Google explicitly documents Save as PDF in Chrome’s Android print preview, and desktop Chrome has a separate print dialog with its own Save as PDF option. Those labels and steps apply to those platforms, not necessarily to Chrome on iPhone: Android printing instructions and computer printing instructions.

Troubleshooting
- You cannot find Print: In Chrome, open Share, tap View more, and look for Print in the available actions.
- The preview offers printing but not saving: Chrome’s iPhone guidance documents AirPrint, not a guaranteed PDF save control. Use Safari’s PDF workflow above if there is no share/save route.
- The saved document is incomplete: Confirm the page finished loading before opening Print. A webpage’s print layout can differ from its on-screen layout; inspect the PDF after saving.
- You followed Android steps but cannot find “Save as PDF”: That documented control is for Android. Use the iPhone print route and check the preview, or switch to Safari’s documented save flow.
- You added the page to Reading List: That makes the page available to revisit or read offline; it does not by itself export a PDF.
