If you can view a password-protected page and are allowed to keep a copy, sign in normally and use your browser’s print-to-PDF feature. It saves a printable rendering of the page; it does not bypass access controls or guarantee the page will look or behave exactly as it does online. If printing or downloading is blocked, use the site’s official export option or ask its owner or your workplace administrator for an authorized copy.
Save the page through your browser
- Sign in through the website’s normal login page and open the page you are authorized to save. Wait for its content to finish loading.
- Open the browser’s Print command. In desktop Chrome, choose File > Print, or press Ctrl+P on Windows or Linux and Command+P on Mac. Google documents these desktop controls at Chrome Help.
- Choose the PDF destination in the print dialog, then review the preview before saving. Check that the expected content appears and adjust settings such as page range, orientation, margins, or scale if needed.
- Save the PDF to a suitable folder, then open the saved file to confirm the pages you need are present.
The browser prints the page as it is rendered for paper, not necessarily as it appears on screen. Layout, interactive elements, and live content may change or be omitted. Mozilla notes that web pages can be set up to appear differently on paper than on screen (Firefox Support).

Steps for Chrome, Firefox, and Edge
Chrome on a computer
Open File > Print or use the keyboard shortcut for your operating system. In the print controls, select the PDF destination (often labeled Save as PDF), inspect the preview, and save.

Firefox on a computer
Open the Firefox menu and choose Print. In the print preview, select Save to PDF from the destination dropdown. Firefox’s controls also let you adjust settings such as page selection, orientation, margins, and scale (Firefox Support).

Microsoft Edge on a computer
Open the print controls from the menu or press Ctrl+P on Windows or Command+P on Mac. Select the available PDF destination, review the print settings, and save (Microsoft Support).
If the website supports Edge’s Immersive Reader, printing from that simplified view may produce a less cluttered page. The option is not available on every site.

Chrome on Android
With the page open, tap More > Share > Print, choose Save as PDF, then select where to save the file. These are Google’s documented Chrome for Android steps (Chrome Help). Steps can differ on other mobile devices and browsers.

- Check the page first: confirm you are still signed in and that the page’s content is visible in the browser. Wait for it to finish loading, then reopen print preview.
- Inspect the preview: look for missing pages or content before saving. Try changing the page range, orientation, scale, or margins where those controls are available.
- If printing or downloading is blocked: do not try to defeat a site restriction. Use the site’s official download or export feature, or contact the site owner or workplace administrator about an authorized copy.
- If an older Windows PC has no Microsoft Print to PDF printer: Chrome’s built-in Save as PDF option is a documented alternative, according to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB).
A successful print command does not establish that you have permission to save, redistribute, or retain the page. Follow the site’s terms and any workplace rules that apply.
