Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Build a Make scenario that captures a page with a full-page-capable screenshot service, turns the result into a file, and uploads that file to Google Drive. The key distinction is that Drive needs file data and a filename—not merely the screenshot’s URL. Make’s listed Custom JS “Create Screenshot” action is marked deprecated, so use a maintained capture method and confirm that it supports full-page capture.
How the Make workflow fits together
A scenario connects modules that pass data from one step to the next. For this workflow, the steps are: start the scenario, capture the page, make sure the capture is available as file data, then upload it to Drive.

- Choose a trigger. Use a schedule for recurring screenshots, or start the scenario from another suitable trigger—for example, when a URL arrives from a form or spreadsheet.
- Capture the page. Use a screenshot provider or an HTTP request to a service that explicitly supports full-page capture. The capture provider—not Google Drive—determines whether the image includes the whole page.
- Prepare the file. If the capture response contains file data, map that data and a filename to the upload step. If the provider returns only an image URL, use Make’s HTTP > Download a file module to retrieve the file first.
- Upload the file. Add Google Drive > Upload a file, connect the account, choose the destination, and map the filename and file data.
- Run and inspect a representative capture. Check that the image contains the full page, including content below the fold; that the extension matches the actual file format; and that the file appears in the intended Drive folder.
Make’s guide to working with files explains the filename-and-data requirements and the download-then-upload pattern. The iTechGuides walkthrough also describes a capture, download, and upload sequence.
Choose a screenshot capture method
Make’s Custom JS integration listing describes its action as “Take a screenshot of a URL,” but labels the associated Create Screenshot action Deprecated. Check the current listing before building around it, and select a maintained provider or endpoint instead.

Before choosing a capture method, verify the details that determine whether it will work for your page and scenario:
- Does it capture the full page, rather than only the visible browser viewport?
- Does it return binary file data, or only a URL that you must download?
- Can you control when capture occurs, so JavaScript content and lazy-loaded images have time to appear?
- Can it capture pages that require authentication, if your workflow needs that?
- Which image formats and output-size limits does it support?
- What are its current price, file-retention terms, privacy terms, and Make integration method?
The reviewed Make documentation does not establish those capabilities for a particular screenshot provider. Confirm them with the provider you choose rather than assuming that a screenshot URL or a successful Drive upload proves the capture is full-page.
See Make’s Custom JS and Google Drive integration listing for the status shown for its screenshot action.
Configure the file handoff and Drive upload
If the screenshot step returns file data
Map the capture’s file data directly into Google Drive > Upload a file, along with a filename that has the right extension, such as homepage.png or report.jpg. Use an extension that matches the actual output format; changing the filename extension does not convert the image.
If the screenshot step returns a URL
- Add the HTTP > Download a file module after the capture step.
- Map the screenshot URL into the download module’s URL field and run the scenario to confirm that it retrieves file data.
- Map the downloaded file’s data and a filename with the correct extension into Google Drive > Upload a file.
A URL identifies where a file can be retrieved; it is not itself the file data required by Drive’s upload step. Make’s file-handling documentation covers downloading a file from a URL and passing it to later modules.
Select the Drive destination
Connect a Google account from the Drive module in your scenario, then choose the appropriate destination and map the file fields. The documented modules support My Drive and Shared With Me; Google Shared Drive selection is available to Google Workspace users in the documented modules. See the Google Drive modules documentation and Make’s Google Drive app documentation for account and module details.

Check Make’s file-size limits
Make’s file guide lists these maximum file sizes by plan. The figures below are the plan limits in the documentation checked on October 3, 2026; plan details can change, so check the current documentation before relying on them.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches| Make plan | Maximum file size listed |
|---|---|
| FREE | 5 MB |
| CORE | 100 MB |
| PRO | 250 MB |
| TEAMS | 500 MB |
| ENTERPRISE | 1,000 MB |
Make says that when a file exceeds the limit, processing follows the setting of the Enable data loss option. Check that setting and the current plan limit if uploads fail or the scenario does not pass the file onward. Source: Make’s Working with files.

ScreenshotNeo is a website screenshot API and MCP server. Its API can return a screenshot in PNG, JPEG, or WebP, or a PDF. Use a Make HTTP request to capture the page, then pass the returned file data to the Drive upload step. Check the ScreenshotNeo API documentation for request details.
curl -G "https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot" -d access_key=YOUR_API_KEY --data-urlencode url=https://stripe.com -o shot.webp
Before capture, ScreenshotNeo accepts the cookie or consent banner like a visitor and removes more than 60 known consent platforms, newsletter popups, and chat widgets; each step can be turned off. Bot checks or CAPTCHAs, blank pages, timeouts, failed loads, and cache hits are not billed, and responses identify the page verdict and billing status in headers. Its MCP server provides take_screenshot, get_page_info, and capture_pdf tools for AI agents and MCP clients.
ScreenshotNeo’s Free plan includes 1,000 screenshots per month with no card; paid plans start at $5 for 3,000 screenshots. Learn about ScreenshotNeo or sign up for 1,000 free screenshots a month with no card.

Troubleshooting the scenario
The uploaded image shows only the visible viewport
The upload module does not extend a screenshot. Check that the chosen capture provider explicitly supports full-page capture and that the capture request uses that mode. Then inspect the output image itself before changing the Drive step.
Drive does not receive a usable file
Check whether the capture step returned binary file data or just a URL. If it returned a URL, insert HTTP > Download a file, map that URL into the module, and pass the downloaded file data to Drive.

The image is incomplete or missing below-the-fold content
Confirm that the provider can wait for JavaScript content and lazy-loaded images, and adjust its available wait controls if necessary. Run a new capture and inspect the result; a successful upload alone does not confirm that the page finished rendering.
The filename and file contents do not match
Give the uploaded file an extension that corresponds to the screenshot’s actual format. Renaming a JPEG with a .png extension, for example, does not convert it to PNG.

The Drive folder is unavailable
Confirm that the scenario is connected to the intended Google account and that the folder is available in that account context. For Google Shared Drive selection in the documented modules, Make specifies a Google Workspace account; otherwise choose the applicable My Drive or Shared With Me location.

Make’s Custom JS listing marks Create Screenshot as deprecated. Check the current integration listing and use a maintained capture provider or HTTP endpoint rather than relying on that action.
