If you need a PDF copy of a page, use the steps below and check the result; if you need a screenshot image, use a screenshot tool instead.
Save a webpage as a PDF without code
- Open the Html2Pdf.app online HTML-to-PDF converter. Its product page describes a browser-based converter for a URL or raw HTML without coding. Html2Pdf.app
- Enter the URL of the page you want to convert. For URL conversion, the page must be publicly reachable by the service; a page behind a login may not work.
- Generate the PDF and use the converter’s download or save controls. The official page confirms the online converter, but does not establish current button labels or a screen-by-screen sequence.
- Open the downloaded PDF and inspect its content, page breaks, and layout. Rendering can vary with CSS media settings, available fonts and other resources, and how long JavaScript takes to load.
This workflow saves page content in PDF form. It does not establish that every lazy-loaded item or interactive state is captured, or that the output matches a screenshot pixel for pixel.

Use the API for repeatable conversions
The documented synchronous API accepts a publicly reachable URL or raw HTML in a POST request to https://api.html2pdf.app/v1/generate. Authenticate with an X-API-Key header. On success, the response body is PDF data—not JSON or plain text—so check the HTTP status and save the bytes directly. See the official API documentation and cURL guide for current request details.

--output document.pdfReplace YOUR_API_KEY and https://example.com with your credentials and source page. If you send raw HTML rather than a URL, provide it as the documented html field. The documentation also supports asynchronous requests with callBackUrl; its callback includes the PDF encoded in a document field. That approach is generally unnecessary for a one-off conversion.

Choose settings for page size and rendering
The API documents options for orientation, paper format or custom dimensions, margins, CSS media mode, scale, output filename, and a JavaScript/resource wait. Documented defaults are A4, portrait, zero margins, screen media, scale 1, and no wait. Scale can be set from 0.1 to 2, and the wait can be set from 0 to 10 seconds. Consult the API documentation for exact parameter names and accepted values before adding options to a request.
- Choose
screenorprintmedia according to which version of the page you want rendered; the page’s CSS may differ between them. - Set orientation, paper size, and margins to suit the material. A long page may span multiple PDF pages.
- Increase the documented wait when JavaScript-rendered content or asynchronously loaded resources need more time. A wait cannot make inaccessible resources available.
- For long documents, inspect page breaks and clipping. The documentation describes CSS page-break rules for controlling where selected elements start new PDF pages.
Check access, quality, and privacy before relying on the PDF
Access and completeness
The URL workflow depends on the source being publicly reachable. Check the resulting file for clipped content, missing charts or images, absent web fonts, and content that appears only after scripts run. The service’s documentation identifies resource availability, CSS media mode, fonts, and JavaScript timing as factors that can affect rendering.

API errors
- 400: The URL may be inaccessible or a parameter invalid. Confirm the URL is publicly reachable and check the request values.
- 401: The API key is missing or invalid. Check the
X-API-Keyheader. - 403: The request may exceed a plan limit. Check the account’s applicable limits before retrying.
- 500: The service reports an unhandled server error. The documentation advises correcting 400, 401, or 403 causes before retrying; it does not establish a guaranteed resolution for a 500 response.
Sensitive content
Html2Pdf.app says generated PDFs are processed temporarily rather than permanently stored on its servers. Its documentation also says raw HTML or text sent in the html field is not stored in conversion logs, while selected request metadata and a source URL may be retained. Before submitting sensitive material, review the service’s privacy policy and data processing agreement.

Does Html2Pdf.app save a full-page screenshot image?
The official materials describe URL or HTML conversion to PDF, not a dedicated full-page screenshot mode. Treat the result as a rendered PDF, not a guaranteed screenshot image.
Can it convert a page that requires a login?
The documented URL input must be publicly reachable. The official guidance does not establish a way to use this URL workflow for pages that require authentication.

Does Html2Pdf.app return PDF data or JSON?
For a successful synchronous API request, it returns PDF bytes. Check the HTTP status and write the response body to a PDF file rather than parsing it as JSON or text.
