If you need a local PDF of a bank webpage, use your desktop browser’s Print command and choose Save as PDF when that destination is available. Evernote Web Clipper saves webpage content to an Evernote note; making that note into a PDF is a separate step. For a statement or transaction record, first check whether your bank provides its own download or export option.
Choose the right way to save the bank page

Save the bank webpage directly as a PDF
These steps use Chrome on a desktop computer as an example. The exact destination label and available print options can differ by operating system and installed print destinations. Chrome Help explains the print workflow.

- Open the bank website through its usual route, sign in, and navigate to the page you want to keep. If you need a statement or transaction record, check for a bank-provided download or export first.
- In Chrome, choose File > Print, or press Ctrl+P on Windows or Linux, or Command+P on Mac.
- In the print dialog, select Save as PDF if it is offered. Review the preview and print settings before saving.
- Save the file to a location you control, then open it and check that the expected content is present.
Check the preview before saving
- Confirm that the correct page and account details are visible.
- Look for missing transaction rows, cut-off columns, unexpected page breaks, or blank pages.
- Check whether the preview includes sensitive details you do not intend to retain or share.
Use Evernote Web Clipper, then create a PDF if needed
Web Clipper is for capturing webpage content into Evernote. Its basic workflow is to open the extension, choose a clip type, and save the clip to a notebook. A clipped note is not automatically the same thing as a local PDF file. Evernote’s Web Clipper guide and note-printing instructions document these as separate steps.

- Open the bank page and the Web Clipper extension in your browser.
- Choose a clip type suited to what you need, then save the clip to Evernote.
- Open the resulting note in Evernote. Choose More actions, then Print.
- In the print dialog, set Destination to Save as PDF if available, review the preview, and save the file.
Pick a clip mode for the content
- Article: captures the main section of a page.
- Simplified Article: strips away some layout to focus on the content.
- Full page: aims to preserve the page layout.
- Screenshot: captures a static visual image.
- Selection: saves material you select.
Mode availability varies by browser. Evernote says its PDF clip option is unavailable in Firefox because of browser restrictions. When a PDF is already open in a browser, Web Clipper can save that PDF as a note attachment; that is different from printing an authenticated bank webpage into a local PDF. Handle dynamic or incomplete bank pages
Bank pages may load account information dynamically or use interactive layouts. Evernote warns that complex designs, interactive content, and multimedia can cause clipping problems, and its guidance does not guarantee that any mode will work on every bank page. Evernote Web Clipper troubleshooting
- If a clip is incomplete, try another mode: Article or Simplified Article for text, Full page when layout matters, or Screenshot for a visual record.
- If only particular content matters, select it manually before clipping.
- For a direct local PDF, try the browser’s Print preview instead and inspect the saved result.
- If the page is an official statement or transaction record, use the bank’s own export or download option if one is provided.
Protect account information
Web Clipper stores captured content in an Evernote account. Google advises using only necessary extensions on devices that contain sensitive information. A built-in browser print workflow saved to a location you control involves fewer services, but local saving is not risk-free: protect the device and file, and avoid sharing account details unintentionally.
