Yes. You can run two different nature ambience feeds simultaneously on one YouTube channel, provided you create a separate YouTube broadcast and incoming stream for each feed, connect each encoder output to the matching stream key, and stay within YouTube’s active-stream limits. YouTube currently documents a maximum of 10 active streams per channel and 3 per stream key; both caps apply.
Understand broadcasts, streams, and stream keys
A broadcast is the viewer-facing live event on your channel. A stream carries the incoming audio and video from an encoder to YouTube. For two different scenes—such as a forest rain feed and a river feed—create two broadcasts and use separate incoming streams. Binding one incoming stream to multiple simultaneous broadcasts is a way to show one feed in more than one video, not a way to send two different scenes.

A stream key identifies the incoming stream configuration. Keep each encoder output connected to the key associated with its intended broadcast. Separate keys do not bypass YouTube’s channel-wide active-stream cap.
Set up the two simultaneous broadcasts
- Create the first event. In YouTube Studio, open the Live Control Room and create or schedule the first broadcast.
- Create the second event. Create or schedule a separate broadcast for the other ambience feed. Each event will have its own viewer-facing video page.
- Configure separate incoming streams. Use distinct stream resources for the feeds. This is the appropriate arrangement when two broadcasts happen at once and do not use the same streaming settings.
- Configure each encoder output. For each feed, enter the YouTube Live server URL and the stream key associated with the correct event. If using one encoder application, it must be configured to send two distinct outputs; if using separate encoders, configure each independently.
- Check both previews before going live. In the Live Control Room, confirm that each event preview shows the intended scene and that its audio is correct. Start the feeds only after verifying the mappings.
- Monitor both events while they run. Watch the audio and video quality for each broadcast, not just the first one. A healthy preview for one feed does not confirm that the second encoder output is connected correctly.
Check YouTube’s simultaneous-stream limits
YouTube Help documents up to 10 active streams per channel and 3 active streams per stream key. These are concurrent limits and apply at the same time. Two separate streams and keys fit within those published caps, but creating additional keys cannot raise the 10-stream channel limit. Confirm the current limits in YouTube’s guidance on live streaming before planning a larger setup.

Choose an encoder setup without guessing at hardware needs
The required computer, CPU or GPU capacity, and upload bandwidth depend on resolution, codec, encoder settings, and whether both feeds are encoded on one machine or on separate devices. YouTube’s guidance does not establish a universal hardware minimum for two concurrent nature ambience encodes, so do not assume a particular computer or connection is sufficient.
- One computer: It must produce and send both outputs at once. Test the exact scenes, output settings, and encoder configuration you plan to use.
- Separate devices: Each device handles an output independently, but both still need the correct event settings and a reliable connection.
- Either arrangement: Verify both previews and monitor each feed during operation. Use a test run to identify dropped frames, overload, or connection problems before relying on a long broadcast.
Protect monetization eligibility and content rights
Running two broadcasts is not, by itself, a route to monetization. YouTube’s channel monetization policy says content should be original and not mass-produced, generic, or repetitive. Its policy update dated July 15, 2025 renamed “repetitious content” as “inauthentic content.” Review can consider the channel as a whole, including its theme, newest and most-viewed videos, share of watch time, metadata, and About section. Troubleshoot common two-feed problems
- Both broadcasts show the same scene: One output may be bound to the wrong incoming stream, or the setup may be duplicating one feed. Check the stream-to-broadcast assignments and confirm that each encoder output is actually using its intended source.
- A broadcast has no incoming video: Verify that its encoder is sending to the correct YouTube Live server URL and stream key, then check the event preview.
- The wrong audio is on a feed: Inspect the audio source assigned to each encoder output and listen to both previews before starting.
- One or both feeds are unstable: Check each encoder’s settings, processing load, and network connection. There is no universal hardware or bandwidth figure for this setup; test the configuration you intend to run.
- You cannot start another stream: Check whether the channel already has 10 active streams or the key has 3. Separate keys do not remove the channel-level limit.
- A channel is not accepted for monetization: Review originality, repetition, reused material, rights, and the channel’s overall presentation. A second broadcast does not guarantee eligibility.
