Set up the YouTube connection, test playlist transitions and end-of-list behavior in your installed vMix version, clear the rights for every recording, and decide how you will preserve a replay before leaving the stream running.
Choose how to connect vMix to YouTube
There are two documented ways to start. Creating or scheduling the stream in YouTube Studio keeps scheduling and stream settings in Studio. vMix’s YouTube Live Stream Now destination lets you create and start the broadcast from vMix. In either case, confirm the broadcast appears correctly in YouTube before relying on it.

Prepare the channel and devotional playlist
Enable live streaming in advance
If this is the channel’s first live broadcast, enable live streaming before the planned launch. YouTube says first-time activation can take up to 24 hours, so it may not be available immediately.

Prepare the material in vMix
Load the recordings or video files you have permission to use into the vMix production and arrange the intended program order. The vMix User Guide describes playlist items with start time, duration, and transition settings. It does not establish a universal, version-independent sequence for making an entire playlist repeat indefinitely.
Before going live, test the playlist in the vMix version installed on your computer. Observe a complete transition and what happens when the final item ends: does playback stop, wait, or continue as you intend? Do not leave the broadcast unattended until that behavior has been verified. Consult the vMix User Guide for the controls available in that version.

Connect vMix and start a test broadcast
- Create or schedule the broadcast in YouTube Studio, or choose vMix’s YouTube Live Stream Now destination if you want to create it from vMix.
- For the Studio route, copy the stream URL and key into vMix. Treat the key as private: anyone who obtains it may be able to send video to the broadcast. If you suspect it has been exposed, replace it in YouTube Studio and update vMix.
- Set the video and audio output for your actual source and connection. vMix supports H.264 video and AAC audio over RTMP. There is no single bitrate or resolution established here for every computer, source file, and upload connection. Use current YouTube encoder guidance, then test the chosen settings on the network that will carry the live stream.
- Start streaming from vMix and check the preview and live status in YouTube Studio. Confirm that picture, sound, and the intended playlist item are reaching YouTube before treating the setup as ready.
- Watch a full playlist transition and the end of the list. Verify the loop behavior in the installed version rather than assuming that a playlist automatically repeats forever.
Clear rights for every recording
The operator is responsible for having the necessary rights for the live content. A devotional song can involve separate rights in the composition and in the particular sound recording or performance. Check both for every track, including the territories, live-stream use, term, and channel covered by the permission.

YouTube scans live streams for third-party content matches. If matched content remains in the broadcast, YouTube may interrupt or terminate it. A license alone may not prevent an interruption: YouTube says the rights owner may need to add the channel to its Content ID allowlist. Confirm the owner’s process before launch and keep written permission and authorization records. See YouTube’s guidance on copyright issues with live streams.

- A track being described as “free,” or giving attribution, does not by itself establish permission to stream it or prevent a Content ID match. YouTube’s safe-music guidance explains available considerations.
- Creator Music is not a dependable route for this use: YouTube’s usage guidance says its tracks are for long-form videos and cannot be used in live streams.
YouTube’s livestream terms state: “You represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights for the exploitation of the Live Content on the Google Services throughout the world, including, without limitation, music licensing rights from artists, record labels, publishers (including public performance licenses) and any other royalty participants.” The legal status of any particular bhajan, performance, or recording cannot be assumed from its devotional subject.
Plan for interruptions and unattended operation
A 24/7 schedule is an operational goal, not a guarantee from YouTube or vMix. The documented setup does not establish a universal vMix procedure for automatic restart or recovery after a crash, lost connection, or playback failure. Test what happens when playback reaches the end, and decide who will check the stream and how it will be restarted if it stops. Do not promise viewers uninterrupted availability unless your own setup and monitoring support that claim.

Before leaving the computer unattended, verify the broadcast is live in YouTube Studio, check that audio and video continue through transitions, and confirm that the computer and internet connection remain available for the intended duration. The exact hardware, bandwidth, and backup requirements depend on the system and connection; test your own configuration rather than relying on an assumed universal specification.

Choose how to preserve the broadcast
YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. A continuous stream longer than 12 hours is not guaranteed to produce a complete archive. If a replay matters, use shorter sessions or make an independent local recording and verify that it is being saved. Decide whether continuity or a dependable replay is the priority before choosing one long session.
