Treat tasks Gemini pulls from your notes as drafts: ask it to list them, compare each item with the original note, correct errors explicitly, and confirm the saved result in Google Tasks, Keep, or Calendar. Google warns that Gemini can hallucinate or provide outdated information, so a confirmation in chat is not a substitute for checking the task itself.
Find the tasks Gemini has captured
Ask Gemini to show the tasks you want to check. Google documents queries such as “What are my upcoming tasks?”, “What are my to-dos for [time, date]?” and “What are my tasks for [topic]?” You can also ask for tasks due this week. If you use more than one connected task service, name the target—for example, @Google Tasks or @Samsung Reminder—so you do not review the wrong list.

When a task was created from a conversation or a photographed list, open the original source as well. Compare every task against it; do not assume Gemini captured every action or inferred dates and details correctly. Google documents creating tasks from conversation context and adding list items from a photo, but does not publish an extraction accuracy rate.

Check each task against the note
Review the task’s action, title, date and time, and completion status. Look for missing actions, invented details, or a date that was implied rather than stated. Decide whether the item is genuinely still to do. Gemini’s response may be useful for finding candidates, but the original note is the reference for what it said.

Correct a task with a specific instruction
Make one clearly scoped correction at a time, naming the task and the field to change. Google’s examples include “Change the date of [task name] task to [date].” For a title change, ask: “Change the name of task [old name] to [new name].” You can also ask Gemini to mark a task done or delete a task by subject.
After Gemini responds, open the linked task list or the relevant app and inspect the saved record. Check that the intended task—not a similarly named one—changed and that its other details remain right.

Undo an unintended change
If Gemini shows a confirmation notification with an Undo control, use it promptly to reverse the action. Google says this control cannot undo actions created while Gemini Live is running in the background. In that case, open the linked list or app and correct the record there. For Keep list actions, Google likewise documents using Undo or editing the linked list, with a similar limitation for notes created while Gemini Live runs in the background.

Google began migrating Keep reminders to Google Tasks in the second half of 2025; new Keep reminders are saved as tasks. A migrated reminder may appear in Calendar or the task list. Look for From Keep in its details and select it to return to the original note.

Google says Tasks can hold up to 100,000 tasks; if Keep reminders exceed that limit, the oldest reminders will not migrate. Google also notes that a Keep reminder title that is too long is shortened after migration. Location-based reminders can no longer be created or received; old location-reminder data may remain visible in the moved task’s description.

- Turn on Keep Activity; Gemini’s task and reminder connection requires it.
- Connect Google Workspace for Google Tasks workflows and Keep access through Gemini. Depending on the account, device, or Workspace administrator settings, the connection may not be available.

Google’s task and reminder connections are not available in Gemini in Google Messages. If Gemini gives an answer but you are unsure it reflects the saved data, review the response’s listed sources where available, then confirm the task in its app.
Review tasks managed with Gemini Spark
Google says Gemini Spark can find, add, update, and delete Google Tasks. It may take bulk actions on private tasks without asking for confirmation, so check the request carefully before submitting it. After any Spark action, verify the affected records in Google Tasks.
