This separation explains why familiar options may seem to have disappeared.
Where Floorp moved its customization options
Through Floorp 11, Floorp’s custom options were mixed into Firefox’s standard settings. Floorp moved its own preferences into Floorp Hub to distinguish them from Firefox controls and reduce issues when Firefox changes its interface. In Floorp 12 and later, start with Floorp Hub for Floorp-specific settings and use Firefox Settings for standard Firefox settings. Floorp’s feature documentation covers Floorp 12 and later.

Open Floorp Hub in any of these ways:
- Type
about:hubin the address bar. - Choose Floorp Hub from the application menu.
- Open Floorp Hub from Firefox Settings.
Floorp Hub collects settings specific to Floorp. Its Tab & Appearance section is the starting point for interface design, tabs, and related controls. Exact labels or availability can vary by release, operating system, or locale. If you cannot find a documented option, search Floorp Hub by its name and check your installed version before trying profile-file edits.
Choose the right place for the change

Restore a Firefox-like interface or layout
Pick an interface design
Go to Floorp Hub > Tab & Appearance > Interface. Floorp documents Proton, Lepton, Photon, Firefox UI Fix, and Fluerial designs. These are interface-design choices; they are separate from browser themes managed in the Add-ons Manager. Floorp warns that CSS editing is possible but not officially supported, so try the built-in designs first. See Floorp’s Interface and Themes documentation.

Change the tab layout
Floorp Hub documents horizontal, vertical, and multi-row tabs. Check its Tab & Appearance settings for the layout you want. Firefox Settings also exposes vertical tabs under Browser Layout, so the standard Firefox control may be available there as well. Floorp’s tab-layout documentation describes its tab options.
Adjust other parts of the browser UI
Floorp’s Advanced UI Customization documentation describes further controls, including disabling Floorp Start, hiding the forward and back buttons, optimizing for Tree Style Tab, and experimental bookmark-bar positioning. Availability and exact labels can vary; look for the control in Floorp Hub rather than assuming a Firefox setting has the same name.

Change the browser theme
For a browser theme rather than a layout or interface design, open about:addons. Floorp’s documented built-in choices include System, Light, Dark, and Floorp Alpenglow. You can also explore themes in Firefox Browser Add-ons. A theme and an interface design are different settings, so changing one may not restore the other.

Return to Firefox Home instead of Floorp Start
If the missing customization is for the new-tab or home page, disable Floorp Start using its settings overlay or go to Floorp Hub > Tab & Appearance. Floorp says a browser restart is required; after restarting, Firefox Home and its Home preferences become available. See Floorp’s Floorp Start documentation.

When built-in controls are not enough
Floorp supports neither custom CSS nor direct preference editing as official customization routes. Its documentation says CSS editing is possible but not officially supported, and its tab-layout documentation warns custom CSS can conflict with settings. Mozilla likewise does not officially support userChrome.css, userContent.css, or direct about:config changes. These methods can be version-sensitive; do not assume a snippet or preference will work in every Floorp release. Check Floorp Hub, Firefox Settings, and themes first. Mozilla Support’s guidance explains the support boundary.
Recover from a broken CSS customization
If custom CSS is causing problems, Mozilla’s guidance is to disable legacy profile stylesheets and remove or rename the CSS files:

toolkit.legacyUserProfileCustomizations.stylesheetsand set it tofalse. - In the active profile’s
chromefolder, remove or renameuserChrome.cssoruserContent.css, as applicable. - Restart the browser and check whether the interface or page styling has returned to normal.
Mozilla’s support for the Firefox files does not establish that a particular customization is compatible with every Floorp version. If the problem remains, use Floorp’s built-in controls and check the installed version before making more profile changes.
