On the Xiaomi Soundbar 2.0ch, holding Power and Source clears saved Bluetooth pairing records; Xiaomi does not describe it as a full factory reset. On the Xiaomi Soundbar Pro 2.1 ch, holding Power and Input Source together for three seconds restores factory settings and restarts the bar. Identify the model before pressing buttons, then follow the matching steps below.
Identify your Xiaomi soundbar first
The reset instructions are not interchangeable. Check the model name on the soundbar, packaging, or manual. The connection ports can also help distinguish them:

- Xiaomi Soundbar 2.0ch: has Aux, Optical, and S/PDIF sockets, but no HDMI. Its right-side controls are Power, Volume Up, Volume Down, and Source. The indicator is blue for Bluetooth, green for S/PDIF, red for Auxiliary, and orange for Optical. Xiaomi’s 2.0ch FAQ describes its controls and connections.
- Xiaomi Soundbar Pro 2.1 ch: supports HDMI ARC, Optical, and Coaxial connections and has a separate powered subwoofer. HDMI is its default input mode. See Xiaomi’s Pro 2.1 ch FAQ for its setup and troubleshooting instructions.
The support instructions cited here are from Xiaomi global and UK pages. If your regional model has different controls or labels, check its own manual before using a button combination.

Xiaomi Soundbar 2.0ch: clear Bluetooth pairing records
- Turn the soundbar on.
- To enter Bluetooth pairing mode, hold Source for three seconds. The indicator flashes; select the soundbar in your phone’s Bluetooth list.
- If discovery or connection still fails, hold Power and Source at the same time to clear the pairing records.
- On the phone, remove the saved soundbar connection, restart the phone, and search for the soundbar again.
Xiaomi documents the Power-plus-Source action as clearing pairing records, not as restoring all soundbar settings. After a restart, the 2.0ch returns to its previous audio input mode.

Xiaomi Soundbar Pro 2.1 ch: restore factory settings
- Check that the soundbar is in Bluetooth mode or restart it, then briefly press the Bluetooth button to enter pairing mode.
- Pair within three minutes. If no connection is made, the soundbar exits pairing mode.
- If the Bluetooth problem persists, hold Power and Input Source together for three seconds. The bar restores factory settings and restarts.
This factory-restore sequence is the Pro 2.1 ch procedure; do not substitute the 2.0ch buttons. Xiaomi describes it as a reset and restart, so expect to set up the soundbar again as needed.
Troubleshoot by symptom and connection
Before resetting, confirm the active input matches the connection you are using. Check that the soundbar and source device are powered on, neither is muted, and both volume controls are raised. Then use the relevant checks below.

Phone cannot find or connect to the 2.0ch over Bluetooth
- Move the phone closer and make sure the soundbar is in pairing mode; the indicator should flash after holding Source for three seconds.
- If the bar is already connected to another device, re-enter pairing mode.
- Restart the soundbar. If needed, clear its pairing records using Power and Source, delete its saved connection from the phone, restart the phone, and try again.
- If it still fails, test with another phone or in another environment. Xiaomi recommends contacting after-sales support if the issue remains.
Phone cannot find or connect to the Pro 2.1 ch over Bluetooth
- Confirm the soundbar is in Bluetooth mode. Briefly press the Bluetooth button to enter pairing mode, then connect within the three-minute window.
- Move the playback device closer. If the issue continues, use the Pro 2.1 ch factory-reset procedure above.
No TV sound over S/PDIF on the 2.0ch
- Raise the TV or source-device volume and the soundbar volume; check that mute is off.
- Confirm that the TV has an Optical Out or Digital Audio Out port and that the cable is firmly seated at both ends.
- Set the TV’s audio output to S/PDIF and PCM, then select S/PDIF on the soundbar. Its indicator should be green.
- If there is still no sound, try a different S/PDIF cable. Xiaomi includes an S/PDIF cable with the 2.0ch package and lists trying another cable as a troubleshooting step; replace it only if the cable or connection is suspect.
If these checks do not restore sound, contact Xiaomi after-sales support. See the 2.0ch support FAQ for its connection guidance.
No TV sound over HDMI on the Pro 2.1 ch
- Connect the cable to the TV’s HDMI ARC port and the soundbar’s HDMI Output.
- Set the TV’s Digital Output to PCM and select HDMI mode on the soundbar.
- Check that mute is off and the volume is above zero.
These HDMI settings are specific to Xiaomi’s Pro 2.1 ch instructions; the 2.0ch does not support HDMI.

Low volume
- 2.0ch: raise volume on the soundbar’s side buttons and on the phone, TV, or other source device.
- Pro 2.1 ch: check source-device volume, mute, soundbar volume, and Night mode. Night mode has a maximum volume of 30. Briefly switch to Standard mode and raise the volume to test whether Night mode is limiting output.
Bluetooth stutters or lags
- Move the phone or playback device closer to the soundbar and reduce obstacles between them.
- For the Pro 2.1 ch, avoid placing the playback device near potential sources of interference such as Wi-Fi routers or microwaves. Try HDMI or Optical to see whether the problem is limited to Bluetooth.
- For the 2.0ch, restart the bar, move the phone closer, and consider interference; if necessary, test another input mode.
Choose the next step without resetting unnecessarily
- Bluetooth discovery or pairing issue: confirm the model and pairing mode first; clear pairing records on the 2.0ch or use the documented factory restore on the Pro 2.1 ch only if needed.
- Wired TV audio issue: verify the soundbar input, cable and TV port, and the TV’s output format before resetting.
- Low volume or stutter: check levels, mute, Night mode where applicable, distance, and interference before changing settings.
- Still unresolved: contact Xiaomi support with the model name, connection type, and symptom. The FAQ procedures are model-specific troubleshooting steps, not a universal fix for every sound problem.
