To reroll a trait in Anime Zero, select the weapon you want to improve, open its trait panel, and follow the reroll prompt shown in your current game client. Fan guides disagree about the available reroll features and where reroll resources come from, so check the live interface and in-game patch log before spending anything.
What a trait reroll changes
Traits are modifiers attached to weapons. An October 4, 2026 fan guide says a reroll applies to the equipped weapon, not the weapon in the second slot; that scope has not been confirmed by a developer source. Check which weapon is selected in the client before you spend a reroll. The guide’s trait-reroll page describes the mechanic.

How to reroll a trait safely
- Choose the weapon you plan to keep. Do not spend a scarce reroll on a weapon you expect to replace soon.
- Open that weapon’s trait panel. Confirm the weapon and the trait shown in the live client before proceeding.
- Read the current reroll prompt and cost. The guides disagree about auto-reroll, pity options, and resource sources, so rely on the current interface rather than assuming a particular button or cost.
- Review the result before continuing. Compare the displayed trait with your build and goal; do not keep rerolling on the assumption that a particular trait is universally best.
Where rerolls come from—and what is disputed
Guides updated October 4 and 5, 2026 give conflicting accounts. The October 4 guide says rerolls cannot be farmed in the current build and names codes and quests as sources. The October 5 guide says a patch on October 4 added Story-run trait-crystal drops as well as auto-reroll and selectable trait pity. Neither account was confirmed by a developer-authored source in the available documentation. The October 5 fan guide reports Story trait-crystal chances of 5% on Easy, 10% on Normal, 20% on Hard, and 40% on Nightmare. These are unverified fan-reported figures, not established drop rates; do not plan a grind around them unless the game itself confirms them. The same guide reports caps of 60% critical chance, 275% critical damage, and 40% cooldown reduction, also without developer confirmation.

How to choose a better trait
There is no verified universal best trait in the available sources. The October 5 guide names Razor Focus, Overkill, Sniper, and Deadeye, but does not establish developer verification for their effects or relative strength. Use the descriptions displayed in your game and compare them with what your build needs:
- Damage: prioritize an effect that improves the damage you actually deal, and consider any relevant cap shown or confirmed in-game.
- Cooldowns or attack speed: compare the trait’s stated effect with your weapon and skill rotation.
- Survivability: favor a defensive effect if staying alive is limiting your progress.
- Farming: judge whether the effect improves the activity you repeat, rather than relying on a tier list for a different build.
