What information to include
The form provides fields for a description, game, issue type, username or nickname, Steam ID, and file attachments. Its username/nickname field asks for the reporter’s in-game name “if applicable,” and the Steam ID field says that ID can help support identify the reporter’s account. These are not identified as dedicated fields for the accused player. If you know the suspected player’s identity, put it in the description and indicate if you are uncertain.
- Observable details: Explain what appears in the clip and why it raised concern, without presenting an unverified conclusion as established fact.
- Incident context: Add an approximate time and relevant circumstances if you can provide them accurately.
- Account identifiers: Include the suspected player’s name or Steam ID in the description if known, and provide your own account details in the form’s corresponding fields.
- Video: Attach footage that makes the reported behavior understandable. MADFINGER does not specify a required format, length, or recording program in the cited guidance.
What to expect after reporting
MADFINGER’s form does not guarantee a reply by a set date, a particular enforcement action, or a sanction for any individual report. In a September 2026 security report about a specific item-duplication exploit during the Update 0.4 cycle, the developer said it investigated confirmed evidence and applied proportionate enforcement. It identified “close to 40 accounts” as deliberate exploiters in that investigation. That figure applies only to that exploit investigation; it is not a count of all cheaters or evidence that every report results in a ban. The official sources cited here do not give an overall cheating-prevalence or report-success statistic.

Can you report through the game?
A May 2025 Steam announcement mentions in-game reporting, but the official materials cited here do not document the current in-game interface path. The Community Care request form is the documented submission route, with fields for a description and attachments, so use it when you need to send video evidence.
