Choose the channel that matches the problem

Android’s Android 17 preview guidance describes the Beta Feedback app as included in preview builds on Pixel devices. It is not a universal reporting workflow for every Android manufacturer. Pixel Help cautions that its instructions may not work on a custom Android version; if you use an OEM-customized build, check the manufacturer’s beta support instructions instead. Report an Android preview or compatibility issue
- Check whether the issue is already known. Review the preview release notes, top open issues, and recently created reports. If a matching issue already exists, star it to follow updates and vote for it rather than filing a duplicate.
- Submit through the Beta Feedback app or Issue Tracker. On a supported Pixel preview build, open Android Beta Feedback and follow its prompts. Alternatively, open the Android Issue Tracker, search for the issue, and create a report if no match exists.
- Select the closest tracker category. Use Platform for Android system software or APIs, NDK, device hardware, or ART. Use App compatibility for an app that does not work correctly on the latest build. Security and Android Studio issues have their own related specialized trackers.
- Describe a reproducible case. Include the device and build, the action that triggers the problem, what you expected, what happened instead, and whether it happens consistently or intermittently. Add relevant details rather than assuming a reviewer can infer them.
Reports sent through the Beta Feedback app remain separate from Issue Tracker reports until reviewed and verified, so filing through both channels does not guarantee that they will be merged. Send general feedback
On a Pixel, open Settings → About phone → Send feedback about this device, then follow the prompts. Use this route for general device feedback; a full diagnostic attachment is not required for every report.

Capture a bug report when diagnostic detail is relevant
Pixel Help documents a bug-report process that uses Developer options and USB debugging. Enable Developer options, turn on USB debugging, enable the bug-report shortcut, reproduce the problem, capture the report, and share it using the available prompts. A bug report can contain detailed device information, so create and share one when it is relevant to diagnosing the issue rather than adding it automatically to routine feedback.
For mobile connectivity problems, Pixel Help describes optional verbose vendor logging; for Bluetooth problems, it describes Bluetooth HCI snoop logging. These extra logs are specific diagnostic options, not general requirements. Follow Pixel Help’s instructions for the relevant case, and use your manufacturer’s guidance if your phone runs a custom Android version. Pixel Help: Send feedback or report a problem

Report an issue in an app’s own beta
Android Auto
Android Auto beta testers are directed to send feedback soon after an issue occurs. Keep the phone connected to the vehicle, use the notification to choose Android Auto, complete the report, and submit it when it is safe to do so. The Android Auto help page says beta testers no longer need to enable Developer Mode to send a bug report. This is an Android Auto-specific route, not the general process for reporting an Android platform bug. Android Auto beta help
Phone app beta
In the Phone app, tap More → Help & feedback → Send feedback, enter the details, and send the message. Google states that the message, system information, and email address (if you are signed in) are sent. Phone app help

What to do if the issue persists after an update
After installing a newer preview build, check its release notes and issue lists again. If someone has already reported the same problem, star the matching issue; if no match exists and the bug still reproduces, submit an updated report from the latest build. A report is useful evidence for the issue, but the official guidance does not promise an individual reply or a fix by a particular release.
