If something is missing, damaged or not as described when you collect a Deliveroo robot order in the UK, report it through the Deliveroo Application. Deliveroo’s UK terms give that reporting route but do not specify the exact app menu or button names.
Report a missing, damaged or incorrect item in the Application
Deliveroo’s UK terms say: “If your Items are missing, damaged or not as described when you collect them, please tell us through the Application.” The terms do not provide a separate robot-delivery complaint form or a precise sequence of screens, so use the Application to contact Deliveroo without relying on menu instructions that may not match your version of the app. Read Deliveroo’s UK terms, section 16, “Robot Delivery”.

Check the drop-off point and collection requirements
A robot may not come to your door. Before placing the order, Deliveroo shows a safe, accessible drop-off point the delivery provider can reach; this can be outside the address you entered. You need to meet the robot there. The Application notifies you when it is on its way and when it arrives, and you use the app to open the robot, remove the items and close the lid.
If you cannot reach the confirmed drop-off point, Deliveroo’s terms say not to select Robot Delivery. You can instead order from the partner’s usual menu for rider delivery and contact Deliveroo through the Application for help arranging it.

If you miss the collection window
The Application shows how much time remains in the Collection Window. If you have not collected the order by the end of that window, the robot leaves and returns the order to the partner. Deliveroo’s UK terms say you will be charged for the items and delivery and will not be refunded.
If robot delivery becomes unavailable
If robot delivery becomes unavailable after Deliveroo sends its Confirmation Notice, the UK terms say Deliveroo will cancel the order without charge and refund any payment already made. Deliveroo may alternatively arrange delivery by rider.

Use the consumer support route, not partner support
For an issue with your order, use the Deliveroo Application. A phone number or support route published for restaurant and retail partners is not a consumer robot-delivery complaint channel. A partner-facing Deliveroo explainer lists examples of order problems that may qualify for a refund, such as missing, cold or damaged items or an extremely late order, but it does not establish the consumer app’s steps or guarantee that a particular claim will be approved.
