On most Galaxy phones, go to Settings > Accounts and backup > Manage accounts, select your Samsung account, tap Remove account, confirm, then tap Sign out and enter the account password. Remove a Samsung account from your phone

Open Settings.

Tap Accounts and backup > Manage accounts.

Select your Samsung account.

Tap Remove account and confirm if prompted.

When the sign-out screen appears, tap Sign out and enter your Samsung account password.

What happens to your data?
Removing the account disconnects it from this device. Samsung says synced data is removed from the phone and new data will no longer sync with the account. Data stored on the phone that was not synced with Samsung Cloud remains on the device. Removing the account is not the same as deleting cloud data or wiping the whole phone. If you forgot your Samsung account password
The usual sign-out process asks for the account password. Use Samsung’s account-recovery process to retrieve your ID or reset the password, and complete any identity verification it requires. If you cannot access the email address or phone number registered to the account, Samsung directs you to contact its support team. Removing the account is not deleting it
Sign-out affects the selected phone, and you can add the account to that device again later. Permanent account deletion is a separate action through Samsung account management. Samsung says deletion can remove purchase history, subscriptions, content uploads, and profile information, and that some of this information cannot be recovered. If your goal is only to disconnect one phone, do not choose account deletion. Samsung account-management information

Do not factory-reset just to sign out
A factory reset is a broader action: Samsung says it restores factory settings and deletes personal data stored on the device. A Samsung account password may be required, and a network connection is required to log out of a Samsung account during the reset. Depending on how the device is reset, Google Factory Reset Protection (FRP) may also require verification with a Google account previously registered on the phone.
