Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesTo register a .tr domain at Hostinger, search for the exact name, complete checkout, and enter the registrant details requested for your type of account. Some names require extra checks or documents, so a successful search does not guarantee registry approval. Once the registration is active, manage its DNS in Hostinger’s hPanel.
Before you buy: check the name and its requirements
Search for the exact .tr name in Hostinger’s domain-registration flow and check it in the TRABİS WHOIS database for additional requirements. An available result in Hostinger’s search is not a guarantee that the registry will approve the registration.

Hostinger says names containing “Turkey,” “Turkiye,” or the name of a province or district can only be registered under .gov.tr, which Hostinger does not support. Names associated with public institutions or certain regulated financial entities, as well as terms such as “finance,” “bank,” and “lease,” may require additional documentation or verification. Check the precise name before paying.
Register the domain through Hostinger
- Search for the exact name. Enter the .tr name in Hostinger’s domain search. Confirm the spelling and review any requirements attached to that name.
- Complete checkout. Follow Hostinger’s purchase flow and submit payment. The .tr extension has registration requirements beyond the basic purchase steps; be ready to provide the relevant information when prompted. See Hostinger’s domain purchase guide.
- Enter accurate registrant information. The details depend on whether the registrant is an individual or a company. Use information that matches official identity or business records.
- Watch for a registry document request. If the domain remains in “registering” status, check whether Hostinger has requested supporting documents and follow its submission instructions.
- Connect the domain after activation. Manage DNS in hPanel if Hostinger is the registrar, or update DNS with the current provider if the domain is registered elsewhere.
What information does Hostinger require?
Hostinger lists different requirements by registrant type. For an individual, the required details depend on citizenship or residence status. For a company, Hostinger requires tax information.
#1 Best Overall
| Registrant | Information Hostinger says to provide |
|---|---|
| Turkish individual | Turkish passport number or 11-digit Turkish citizen ID. |
| Foreigner residing in Turkey | A number beginning with 99. |
| Non-Turkish individual | No additional tax or ID number is required for initial registration, according to Hostinger. |
| Company in any country | Tax ID and the official tax-office name matching the company. |
Hostinger says Turkish residence or citizenship is not required for standard .tr registration. That does not remove the need to submit the applicable registrant details or meet any name-specific registry requirements.
If the registration is pending, respond to the document request
A “registering” status can mean the registry needs physical documentation and manual verification. Hostinger gives examples such as a Commercial Register extract, trademark certificate, or declaration of intended domain use. Its support guide says to upload clear digital copies through the Hostinger Document Submission page and contact Customer Success so the documents can be forwarded to the registry.

- Includes clear instructions, diagrams, and illustrations to simplify complex procedures.
- A trusted reference guide designed to support both DIY owners and professional technicians.
Hostinger says manual verification may take several business days. Make sure the details in the documents match the registrant information submitted at checkout; inconsistencies can complicate review.

Check the price and registration term at checkout
.tr prices vary by market and can change. Hostinger’s UK product page showed £16.99 for the first year and £22.99 per year for renewal when reviewed for this article; those are UK-market figures, not a universal price. Check your local Hostinger page and final checkout for the current initial price, renewal price, taxes, and available term.

Hostinger’s product page lists a one-year minimum and three-year maximum registration period. Confirm the term options shown in checkout before completing the purchase.
